Later on Sunday

Well, all our company has gone home. {I still can’t get the smileys to work ;(} They {Fred’s daughter, son-in-law and two teenagers} ate all my hearty nut bread with walnuts. I promised Fred I would make another but I am not sure I am going to get to it today. I asked Fred’s daughter if she would like the old bread machine and she said yes. So, it has gone to a good home where I hope it will be used. The teenageĀ girl {age 16} certainly seemed interested. Apparently she likes to cook.

I got on the manual treadmill this morning and with only two very short stops and a lot of concentration on a DVD, I did 15 minutes. I really need to do this treadmill stuff in the morning when I have more energy. This afternoon I went for a brisk walk at a fairly fast pace. I deliberately decided not to wear my heavy boots. Although they keep my feet very warm, I feel dragged down by them, so today I wore my usual walking shoes and my feet felt so light I was able to do my mile-and-a-half in 30 minutes which I haven’t felt like doing for a long time. And even though the temperature was 21 degrees, my feet weren’t cold because I was walking fast.

I am also very motivated to do something active twice a day since there is no doubt that I am gaining weight. Only a pound or two at the moment, but this is how it starts creeping back. So, starting today and for this coming week, I am back to writing down the calories of everything that goes in my mouth. If necessary, I will do this for a second week. I am NOT GOING TO GAIN THAT WEIGHT BACK!

Until later…

Good for you.. I am as of today, writing down everything I eat in a notebook. I do so much better when I am 100% accountable.

I know you won’t gain back the weight. You are SO on top of things. Mmmm, I can see your bread was a hit.

I hate no doubt you will keep the weight off.

Thatta girl!!!!!! You’ve done sooo well….don’t settle back into the old ways… Love you! ~M

Well done, you! That bread sounds yummy, but don’t give me the recipe, It would probably mess up my whole carb/protein/fat balance. LOL!

Good job keeping on top of the weight issue. It’s always a struggle. I found writing everything down sometimes takes away from eating the food. If I have to get real about what goes in my mouth and write it down I am less apt to eat it.

Good for you. One day I keep hoping that you will stop inspiring me to try and will inspire me to DOOOOOO. Hugs

I love my breadmaker. Set the timer, put in the ingredients in the morning and when I come home from school, the house smells of fresh baked bread. So yummy! Well, I loved it until my mom dropped it and cracked the lid. She says we don’t use it enough to justify buying a new one. I miss those smells. ~rory
