Later in the Day
Things done today:
- laundry all done and put away
- a short walk
Things not done:
- I didn’t go to the library because I still have three books I haven’t read
- I didn’t do the living room floor. Actually, I had a second thought about that and decided to do the dining room instead but then I ran out of energy before I did either of them.
I decided I would walk up the road just past the drug store and get my hair cut. Well, that was a big mistake. Not the haircut but the walking. I have been wondering lately if I really do need surgery on this hip because it has been feeling so much better. today, I have been up and down 14 steps six times while doing the laundry and although I could feel some stress, the pain wasn’t too bad. So, I decided to walk up the hill and get my hair cut. Which means I had to walk down the hill to get home. And by the time I got home my hip was hurting a lot. So, no walking on a day when I have gone up and down stairs a few times.
My copy of Mac for Dummies arrived today and I learned that my Mac will tell me the time every hour, half hour or 15 minutes . I have a large-ish selection of voices to choose from and one is called Fred. Of course, that is the one I chose. It is actually a useful kind of gadget to have! Apparently I can also have it respond to my voice and read pages to me! I will tackle that later!
Hmmm, "fred " the voice on my computer just said, ‘It’s five o’clock! "
Time for Star Trek Voyager!

“Every life form seems to strive to its maximum except human beings. How tall will a tree grow? As tall as it possibly can. Human beings, on the other hand, have been given the dignity of choice. You can choose to be all or you can choose to be less. Why not stretch up to the full measure of the challenge and see what all you can do?” Jim Rohn (motivational speaker/philosopher)

I love those Dummie books. I will remember that if I ever get a Mac. Which looks good because I am really sick of Windows!!
