In Between Getting Stuff Done
I have a lot planned for today, as usual, and as usual, some of it won’t get done!
1. I planned to put the gingerbread squares in a bag and in the freezer and I have done this. I LOVE frozen gingerbread. Fred puts his piece in the microwave for a short time.
2. I planned to put the birdie muffins {If you don’t know what I am talking about, go back that <—– way} into the freezer but this took far more effort than I intended because yesterday, I had what I thought was this great idea. Instead of putting the goop in muffin pans, I though I would do better putting it in a cake pan. The idea was that I could freeze it and then cut it into rectangles to fit in the hanging suet feeder. Well, THAT wasn’t one of my better ideas. It is pretty well impossible to get the frozen stuff out of the pan. So, I let the oven warm up a bit, turned it off, and put the birdie food in there while I…
3. swept, swiffered and mopped the kitchen floor. Then I got the birdie food out of the oven, cut it up, put it in a bag in the freezer, and I am now waiting for the floor to dry. When it is, I will go back and…
4. empty and reload the dishwasher, clean all top surfaces in the kitchen and generally tidy up.
5. Next, I need to get my two bags of recyclable paper into a bigger container and out to the trash. The trash cans are full AGAIN, but this isn’t my problem, it is the landlords because he doesn’t get them emptied in a timely manner.
Ok, something that isn’t a list! I have mentioned that all the gifts I gave this year came from Amazon, right? Well, yesterday three boxes came from Amazon with my name on them. My first thought was that I had made a mistake and had the gifts from me to my elder son and his wife accidentally sent to my address and so I opened the smallest one. Ooops! It was one of the gifts from MY wish list sent to me by my daughter-in-law! So, now there are gifts with my name on them under the tree!
Ok, the floor must be dry now so, on with the plans before I run out of energy!
More later…

This is an ambitious list and it seems that you have most everything done already.

Ah, we used to call that stuff “bird pie” when I was a school. The teacher used to make it and then put it outside on the grass for the birds. One year the class my brother was in were all gathered by the window waiting to see the birds eat the bird pie – then suddenly a stray dog wandered onto the grass and gobbled the whole thing up. 🙂

ryn: the jottles are those unseen things that borrow our things randomly. You know you’ve set something down somewhere and then its just gone only to show up somewhere else, if it comes back at all. Sometimes they don’t take them they just move things (like your keys) or hide them in odd places. Sneaky little buggers. ♥

RYN: Thanks for the prayers. I know that they worked. As for making lists, I NEVER get everything done on them. That’s funny about the boxes from Amazon. That’s great though that you are getting what you want.

Patricia, I posted a youtube video I found tonight and you are in it. Have you seen it? I also saw Steven the Rill. Maybe he made the video. I noticed that the person who made it is from the U.K.

Maybe if we put foil or wax paper or even parchment paper down first before putting the birdseed into the pan would work better. I am going to try it if I can find the suet container. I am sure my birdies will enjoy it.

I’m still struggling to wake up. I need to be creative for the birds around here, and come up with something squirrel-proof.
