Ieri, Oggi & Domani

Yesterday was a total waste of a day in my life. I slept until almost 10 am because I had a disturbed night. I did nothing all day except watch Star Trek DVDs —  and I felt bad about myself all day.

Today was MUCH better. I got up at a reasonable time, ate breakfast and then went out and cleared a LOT of snow off my car. I also cleaned the kitchen and mopped the floor, filled the bird feeders outside, cleaned the bathroom and mopped the floor there too. The only bad part was when I was stooping down to clean the floor around the toilet pedestal and when I got up, I really banged my head hard against the sharp corner of a cupboard on the wall over the toilet. I didn’t find any blood but I do have a raised lump on my head. After lunch I watched Star Trek DVDs for the rest of the afternoon and felt fine about it.

What I hope to do tomorrow is first to go to physical therapy at 9:30 am. If the roads are clear, I will then go into the college to the ceramics open studio and do my homework assignment. The room is open until 8:30 pm. Not that I intend to take THAT long over it. If the roads are too bad to drive, well, then I will just apologise to Harold, the instructor, on Tuesday  and make up what I can. It will be no big thing since I am auditing.

I didn’t go to Italian last Thursday {too much snow} and sent email to Jean asking what I had missed and what we had to do for homework. I went to a lot of trouble at the beginning of the semester to be sure she and I were able to communicate by email. She is aol and for some reason, she can’t get email from Verizon. But, she can get email from my gmail account and we sent a few notes back and forth. However, even though I sent my request for information  from gmail, I have heard nothing which is very annoying…But, again, basically it makes no difference to my grades if I choose not to do it because I am also auditing this class as well.

Until later…

She’s not related to Mike, is she? Very annoying, indeed!

My Darling Patrisha, reframe yesterday as not “a total waste of a day in my life” but as a day of needed rejuvenation. What would you say to me if I’d spent a day similarly? That I’d “wasted the day” or that I’d taken much-needed rest after not having slept well? Also, I have to tell you that throughout the Barry Manilow concert last night I thought of you because of how well he maneuvered around the stage not very long after a hip replacement surgery – just as you maneuvered your way through your travels in Italy not long after the very same surgery! (((HUGS)))

I love doing a lot of work and then relaxing. I feel like I’ve “earned” the down time. =) My fave Star Trek is The Next Generation. I think I’ve seen every episode several times. =)

I don’t think you ought to feel bad at all for taking a day off and enjoying a day of DVD’s. Goodness knows you have earned it.

Days off are good for a person, though. You’re normally pretty doggone busy, after all! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

I felt like you did about sleeping, last Monday. The thing is that your body can only do so much. Sometimes, it means that you have to rest.
