I Am Back

I am glad I didn’t commit to writing every day. If I HAD committed, I would be thinking of myself as i failure but, as it is, I am pleased to have written 27 out of 30 days! We had company from the evening of Thanksgiving Day until they left this morning. They are very nice people and they didn’t stay overnight with us and they took us out for lovely meals, but Fred and I are set in our ways, y’know, and we are both solitary by nature so it was somewhat stressful. This morning we all went to the diner for brunch before they left. I remembered how bad I had felt the last time I had done this and had eaten both my usual breakfast and a big brunch so this time, I had only two clementines and a banana for breakfast and thus brunch was very welcome and went down very well!

Something I learned yesterday: If you are a person who drinks a lot of water AND a person who waits until the last minute to go to the bathroom, fastening the pedometer on the right side of the zipper and the end of the pedometer leash on the left side is not a Good Thing! I didn’t have to get a clean pair of jeans but it was touch-and-go there for a few moments!

Good thing to keep in mind about the pedometer fastening! 🙂

I’ll keep the zipper trick in mind; I’m fast approaching the point where I might need that. I don’t always wait until the last minute, but sometimes my bladder decides it’s time to “go” before I’m ready!

OUCH!! LOL!! Company can really throw a monkey wrench into your life. Glad the visit went well. The more I get set in my ways, the less I like eat out. It is one thing on a road trip, but when I’m “home” I’d rather eat in my house, off my china, and silverware. My good friend Dave Houser used to say that in the 1970’s to me. He must have been in his 70’s at the time. It is scary how you become your peers and elders!!

Yes company can be stressful even if they are lovely people and one is overjoyed to see them. Hope for the most part the holiday went well.

I am always excited about company arriving AND even much more so about company leaving! I’m glad you and Fred survived it! I do not wait ’til the last minute to go…. and I have also learned that I can NOT walk and sneeze, cough, or laugh at the same time unless I want dire consequences! hugs, Weesprite

Belts can pose a problem also when there’s a hurry call. It’s good to have friends around, and wonderful when they’re gone. I am rather solitary also – I know what you mean.

I think I only managed 10 or 11 entries in November – so I’d have been a total failure. 🙂

Ah yes, the aggrivating question of where to put the pedometer — I’ve had it go flying off in various directions, or that frantic struggle in the loo a few times myself. I thought I was the only one who was doing that, glad to hear that I’m not alone.

Mmmmm, Clementines are Wonderful. Dad used to bring us some from FLorida each year he came up. They were still shipped in to Fl. but for some reason they were better than the ones we can get here. HUgs,M
