I Am a Real Survivor

For some strange reason, I just realized this morning that since we are now in 2007, I am now an Official Cancer Survivor. To be considered a survivor, one has to live five {or more} years after treatment.

So, renal cancer with removal of left kidney and no chemo or radiation in 1998
Endometrial cancer with removal of all female parts and 19 lymph nodes followed by pelvic radiation in 2000.

Ok, breakfast, lounging around in my penguin pajamas watching tv {I lead such a hard life! } and then I am going to tackle Italian grammar again.

Thank you for your sweet note about the loss of my son. Again, thank you. You are sweet, kind and much more than a survivor.

Congratulations! I wish you lived close, I’d invite you to our Relay for Life. I am the Survivorship chairman of our local chapter. If there’s one close by, you should do it, if you haven’t already. It is a very inspiring thing for those who are still battling to know that there is still hope.
