Happy Birthday, Fred!

Today is Fred’s birthday and tomorrow Gretta {our present landlord’s child} is one year old!

At the moment, I feel as if I am in Limbo. We have decided that "it’s only money" and we WILL move downstairs. We have told every one except the new landlord! {But he did give us two weeks to let him know} We have his phone number and will call him after the Fourth. I am wandering around this apartment looking at "stuff" and deciding what goes and what gets tossed out…

Whenever I get a panicked feeling about how high the rent on the downstairs place will be {very close to twice what we are paying now} I think of having an art room! I have been reading recently about making collages and have bought two books on the subject. I will have a space where I can do this now. And a place where I can keep my art books. I am already making practical plans like going to Home Depot to get a drop cloth for the floor! It really does make a huge difference to how much I get done if I can leave my work out. Right now, thanks to Fred’s great idea, I have an art corner. There is a table with a tilted top where I have the current pastel painting and since I am the kind of artist who benefits by working a short while, wandering off to do something else and then coming back to work some more, it is nice to not have to take down whatever I am doing and put everything away. But there is no doubt that I would benefit by having a room… I would love to have more than one project going at a time…

Today we have company coming. One of Fred’s daughters and her family will be here later today. Because I vacuumed and tidied up before the new landlord came to see us, I am not running around panicking over tidying up the way I am normally. I have to say it is a nice feeling to know all we have to do is to go up to the store to get a few necessities later this morning. They are going to take us out for dinner tonight and since we went ot the diner on the spur-of-the-moment last night, we will probably go to our favorite Chinese restaurant, the Peking Duck, this evening. At least, I hope we will. But since it is Fred’s birthday, it will be his choice!

Until later….

Happy birthday to Fred & Gretta! I keep thinking about “senior housing.” There’s a cool apartment complex not far from where I live built just for seniors. Grannygray used to live there and had a nice 2-bedroom unit. They are priced according to one’s ability to pay. You probably want to stay in your neighborhood, but I wondere if something like that was available in your area.

P.S. RYN: LOL! I never noticed that about us both misreading dates. I’m just glad I’ve got a little more time.

Happy Birthday to Fred and I hope the new apartment is a wonderful change.

I’m excited for you at the prospect of having an art room! One of the places J is looking at for me today has 3 bedrooms, and I’m thinking I’ll make that my scrapbooking/craft room. 🙂 (they also allow pets, which is a huge deal, so hopefully it’s not a dump!) Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Fred!

I can understand the $$$ anxiety really well… Prices here are over the moon!!!! Will you sign a lease with this fellow? How nice to have an Art Room that you can simply shut the door to if you don’t feel like dealing with it!!!! Love to you! ~M

Please pass along our birthday wishes for Fred!

Wow twice the amount of rent. I hope that doesn’t make things too tight but the room for your painting sure sounds great.

I will have to leave Fred a Happy Birthday? Is there a chance you could look at other housing prior to making your decision? It would be convient to just move downstairs but maybe you could find something bigger for not so much? Have a wonderful time with your family.

Happy Birthday, Fred! The new place sounds exciting!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FRED!!!!!!!! and I hope you have a wonderful day!!! <3 Annie-Rae

Happy Birthday to Fred! You are going to love a craft room. One gets so much more done when the projects do not have to be put away everytime.

if you can afford it, do it. Nothing beats having the space to do your hobbies! And I’ll stop by Fred’s diary and wish him a Happy Birthday!
