Good Morning!

It is a lovely day here in the Champlain Valley!

Last night I put three red geraniums in one of the hanging baskets and then I took the other plants I had bought  and stood them overnight in the whiskey-barrel planter where Melanie had herbs last year. {The only one that has survived the Vermont winter is the chive plant. } When I went out this morning, I really liked the look of the five geraniums in the barrel  so I planted them there this morning! I didn’t pull up the chives because I am impressed that they survived,  and actually, they look quite ornamental with the red and white geraniums.Today I need to get a LOT of impatiens {I have four balcony boxes} and more geraniums for the other hanging pot. I will go out to the local nursery first since they told me they would have impatiens today, but if they don’t, I am off to the big nursery just up the road from where I got my new car in South Burlington. As soon as everything is planted and has settled, I will have pictures.

I got a couple of books and a CD from Amazon yesterday as a late birthday/Mother’s Day gift from my daughter-in-law and older son in Mississippi. She got them from my Amazon wish list. The books are Italian–a useful phrases book and a book of stories with Italian on one page and English on the other. The CD is Sting. I was going to put it on my IPod last night but forgot. Oh, well! Neither the CD nor my IPod are going anywhere.

Now I am going to take my coffee and book out to the deck and finish my breakfast in the sunshine. Then, I will get dressed, and off to the plant nursery…

I hope everyone has a good day.

my daughter got me the celtic woman cd for mother’s day. i haven’t had the time to sit and listen to it yet. i’m sure the red and white flowers will look very pretty in the barrel. i’ve got to wait til my seeds grow into big plants before i see color. in fact, i have to replant some sunflower seeds cause the darned little chipmunks dug some up and ate the leaves off others. i want huge sunflowersthis year. i’ve got to go to agway and get more seeds. take care,

🙂 you sound in a great mood!

Hello to you too. Not such a good day here today, sadly!

Chives are cool! They come up every year no matter what you do, for the most part. You do know the blossoms on those are edible too, right? Can’t wait for the pic’s! Love to you! ~M

I miss my iPod. For some reason, it refuses to work for me. I should get it checked out.
