Getting Things Done

  • So far, I love my new mattress. It is a memory foam, When I first sit or lie on it, it feels hard but once I have been lying on it for a short time, it is great!
  • Yesterday, all I wanted to do was to sleep. I was exhausted and after a good night’s sleep. I had breakfast and then went back to bed. I slept well last night so sleeping through most of the day must have been what I needed. This morning I feel fine and, with breaks, I am getting through the kitchen stuff slowly but surely.
  • Jake got me connected to the internet but only on this laptop at the moment. This is because my IMac hasn’t been unpacked as yet.
  • It is supposed to snow today here in NC. According to my little weather gadget, although it is cold in VT, it is not supposed to snow!
  • Although I have the internet access I am paying for, I do not, as yet, have the TV I am paying for. Apparently the person who was in this apartment before added to his or her basic TV and when this person moved out, everything, not just the extra, was turned off. I have hopes the basic TV will be turned on today…Basic is all I need and I guess when the novelty wears off, I will be back to the news and the History Channel! I am annoyed because I am not getting something I am paying for…
  • Well, time to get back to emptying boxes. I am still working on the boxes marked kitchen. The last one I opened said "Kitchen" but turned out to be bathroom stuff!
  • I forgot to mention that Jake gave me his small flat screen TV which also has a DVD player. I am enjoying the DVD bit at the moment! {The boxes marked DVDs are actually DVDs!}

Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) English Poet

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

– Oscar Wilde

Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone. ~Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers}

Sounds like you’re getting there – glad you’re taking breaks! It does make it easier if what’s in the boxes are actually what it says are in the boxes!! 😀

i was thinking about you this morning with the cold temps in the northeast. i don’t think you will be near as cold as below zero but hopefully the snow won’t be too bad nor will it stay long. take care,
