Friday Stuff

EDIT: This never fails! I am serious! I ask for help and then, suddenly, I either figure it out or it fixes itself!

Ok, I am having a big problem trying to put a picture at the top left-hand side of this new layout. My first few ventures failed, I think, because I had a picture that was too big. So, I found one that is within the limits, put in the URL to my picture site, hit upload and— nothing! So, rescue me! What am I doing wrong?This is the picture I am trying to use. I am sure it is something simple I am overlooking. HELP!

 I went with Fred to the orthopedic person this morning and the {not unexpected } news is that his knees are hurting because he has arthritis. It was very interesting to look at the x-rays of his knees. On the back of the door was a poster of what hip damage by arthritis looks like. The severe arthritis was dreadful. No wonder my sister’s hip was so painful before she had it replaced. Anyway, Fred was given a sheet with stregthening exercises and told that going up and down stairs was not a good thing to do…bad news since we live upstairs.

Tomorrow we are having company so a quick whisk-around with the vacuum cleaner and the duster, straighten up a few piles of stuff, make a couple of loaves of bread  and we are ready!

We watched Sarah Brightman’s Luna Concert on DVD this afternoon. It was absolutely beautiful.Fred has liked her for a long time and the DVDs we have are ones that he has bought. I wasn’t a big fan until I saw the “Harem” DVD and now this one.She has a beautiful voice and sings with so much heart that a couple of times I had tears in my eyes.
