Evening Happenings
Fred’s friend Bill just left and he took the green chair with him! So, tomorrow I can start cleaning out that area where my table is going to go…
Along with taking the green chair, Bill also brought us some brook trout that he had caught. He and Fred cooked them and they were delicious. He even showed us how to take off the fins and cut down the body of the trout so that it was easy to remove the bones. We have two more in the freezer for another meal.
I sorted out my English money today and put it into the purse I use to keep it separate from "real money." That was one of my sister’s jokes whenever she came to visit me. She was always asking me to translate American prices into "real money" for her. Now, of course, for me "real money" is dollars. I will be on the plane a week from tomorrow.
Tomorrow:
- wash the dishes and clean up the kitchen
- go for a walk
- start on cleaning out the area where the new table will go
- put the ingredients for a loaf into the machine
- go for a second walk {I have done 10155 steps today!}
- continue cleaning out the area for the table
- go downstairs and see the new baby who came home with her mother today. Mike invited us to come but I will call first. I remember how my ex asked people to the house to see the new baby the first day after I came home from hospital without asking me and how angry that made me.
I am off to bed now.
Until later…
Yay, you’ll love holding the new baby. Momma will be very happy that you called first.

The trouble with American money is that it all looks alike. Very confusing. 🙂

Wow, you are leaving so soon for England again. I know it will all go well. Yep, new mothers do not always want people around to “see” the cute baby. Greta is going to have great adoptive grandparents upstairs. Hugs. r

That’s very considerate to call first – I well remember too when Nikki would go down for a nap & her exhausted mummy would think “Hooray – nap for me too” and some well-meaning visitor would arrive to see the baby!
