Entry #3 for the Day!
I sometimes wish I didn’t learn by writing. Today, I seem to have been writing until my fingers are falling off!
First I translated the story la prof wrote which didn’t take long and I did that this morning. This afternoon, after I had done the crawling-around -on-the-floor thing because when I moved the table, a light or two had to be moved, too, I did my grammar homework which was about 45 sentences. Finally, since I have accepted the fact that have GOT to learn the auxuliary verbs essere and avere, I sat there and conjugated the present indicative five times {in writing} for essere {to be} because I almost knew that one and 10 times for avere {to have or to make} because I was not as quick at that one. My fingers are not feeling good! But that conjugation at least is settling into my brain quite comfortably…I got a phone call early this afternoon and it was Dish Network offering to send out someone to check out our problem. We now have television! I was in the workroom slogging away on irregular verbs but Fred said they finally replaced the dish! Apparently there was something wrong with the antenna…
So, since I have virtuously done all my homework AND more, I will veg out tonight with "Law and Order" reruns! {Actually, I also watch a lot of "Cash in the Attic" on BBCAmerica}
Until later….
I think you have definitely earned a night of vegging-out! I’m glad the Dish guy came, so that you can! hugs, Weesprite

Hi. This poor ole nerdy guy is gonna leave a note, now and then, when he can think of something to say. I see that you are a former 7th grade English teacher. You can imagine how much guts it takes for me, who is the worlds worst speller and mangler of the queens English, to do so. I’ll be back

Yay for the television people! You must have made an impression on them!

I’m glad you got your TV operating. TV at chez dot com is a must. Almost as bad as being without a computer.

I love Cash in the Attic on BBC America!! Much better than the American spinoff on HGTV! 😉

How strange – I can see the class entry now but it definitely wasn’t there before! No matter – sounded like it went really well – from both sides!

Meant to say I happened to see a calendar with an Italian phrase-a-day in it online – at http://www.calendars.com – if you type Italian in the search box it’ll come up with all the calendars they’ve got with an Italian theme.

Yay for TV. My son learns by writing, too, apparently. All through Pharmacy School, he had to write EVERYTHING at least 3 times to learn it. Yikes! ryn: yeah, that word bugs a couple of us. We’ve tried to get him to change it, but he hasn’t yet. We’re working on him. LOL!

I remember best with writing stuff out too. Even all of these art assignments I have had, I have found ways to write them before doing them- because doing them doesn’t stick for me at all. Hooray for having your TV fixed, you sound like you can use some down time.

Yay that they finally came.

run: glad you loved it! I sure did, and with it being in Italian I was hoping you could understand some of it. : ) *huggs*

RYN: The reason it’s upsetting to not get an interview is that these are all jobs that were just posted as available (within the last two weeks) and are listed as “must be filled immediately”). I’d like your list.

I’m glad your tele is sorted. I wish all my students were like you.
