Early Tuesday Morning

I am up earlier than usual this morning. Today some time this morning we go to pick Fred’s car up I hope we get the "come and get it" call before I have to go to class. If we don’t, then we go to get the car tomorrow, or Fred gets a cab over there because I AM going to class…

We had the air conditioner on in the bedroom last night and I slept very well. I haven’t even looked to see what temperature we are going to get today but since we had a storm last night, I would hope it will be cooler. Actually, I am not sure if we had any rain or not. It had not rained when I went out for my walk at about 4 pm but right before that and while I was out, there was a lot of ominous rumbling. When I lived in Mississippi, I got used to the around-4pm thunder and rain pretty well every afternoon in the summer, but since we get thunder much more rarely here in Vermont, I guess that is why I regard it with greater apprehension.

Schedule for today:

  • put the ingredients for a loaf in the machine
  • go for a walk
  • take Fred to get his car
  • go to class
  • go to the book club meeting tonight at 7 pm

Until later…

I’ve always wanted to join a book club. How do you like it?

In Texas, an air conditioner is a necessity. It’s hotter than Haydes here. lol Josh

put on my ac today for the first time this season. I figure it is going to get near 90 degrees. I don’t mind that when I am at my cottage but in the city that is oppressing.

That hot weather’s headed down here today, they tell me. It’s only 70 so far, but it’s supposed to get into the 80s.

Which book are you talking about? Taking your suggestion and trying to make a list everyday of what gets done so I don’t get too discouraged. Thank you.

Most of my friends around the country are talking about air conditioning! In my corner of Minnesota, I’m still sleeping under a quilt. Geez, it’s COLD here.
