Day Three w/edit

EDIT: I drove out to where I usually get a massage and Beth wasn’t there! After I had thought about it a bit, I seemed to remember she had said something about going to be away this weekend. When I left, I had no idea I would be moving so quickly! So, no massage.  I will call her machine and ask her to give me her address and I will mail the thank-you card I have and the bigger than usual tip. She has been my massage therapist for nine years!

And right before I left, my neighbor across the road came over with his son and took the treadmill semi-apart to get it to his daughter’s house{the house next to me} and set it up in the basement. He just came back to pick up his gloves and said Gracie, his grand daughter and her brother Mitchell have both tried it out and it works well.

I have reached the point where what I am aiming at is to have everything that is NOT going with the movers on my bed. {The bed is not going} However, I have to first remove the big-and-expensive-comforter  off my bed and put it where it can be packed by the movers. I will then use the cheap-and -over-20-years-old comforter over me when I sleep. On Friday morning, I will bundle the old raggedy comforter up and put it in the recyclable bin. The sheets and the one pillow I am keeping will go in my suitcase. Actually, I have got one pillow which needs to be trashed so I will leave that one and throw it away also before I leave. I am not sure if my car is going on Tuesday or Wednesday but I need to be sure I put a cane in it. Actually, I might put all my canes except the one I am traveling with in the back of the car. I seem to be collecting canes. I don’t buy them usually although I did buy my pretty pink-flowered one to replace the pretty purple-flowered one that was stolen. I am actually not a collector but somehow things arrive. When I was teaching, my students’ parents kept giving me candlesticks for quite a long time…

I am taking a brief break from moving/throwing away stuff.

Back to the grindstone and then, at 1PM, I am off to get the last massage from Beth.

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone. ~Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers}

“last massage from Beth.” For some reason, THAT makes me sad. 🙁 I hope you find a good MT in your new digs.

Darn. No massage. 🙁

I completely understand how things can collect you, not the other way around. At one point in time, I was the owner of a very extensive collection of all things cow–a collection I never started or expressed a desire to own! LOL!

OMG, can things ever collect. When the house burned and we had to list EVERYTHING we owned for insurance purposes….it was AWFUL!! They said to list everything right down to the last pencil. How do you do that when your house burned? We just did the best we could. So I completely understand about things collecting. LOL You’re almost there though. Sorry about the massage. 🙁 Hugs,M

Sorry you didn’t get your last massage from Beth. Maybe she can get you in the next few days. I can’t believe someone would steal your can! I hope you leave room on the bed for you to sleep!

Sorry the massage didn’t work out.

Massages are THE single most amazing things on Earth. I am very partial to Thai ones. Canes, eh? Me, it seems to be music boxes that materialize themselves around me, for some odd reason.
