Day Before

So, here it is the day before Fred’s surgery and we STILL do not have a time!

The phone rang at 9 am. I was up but Fred wasn’t {and still isn’t even though it is an hour later} and it was a nurse from the pre-op section. I told her he wasn’t available and she gave me a number for him to call back. I then asked her about a time and that we hadn’t heard, and so she gave me a number for him to call about that, too.

I am sitting here waiting for him to get up so that I can first go downstairs and start a load of clothes and secondly, go for a walk. It has just occurred to me that I could take the phone down stairs with me while I am sorting clothes and putting them into the machine.

This morning when I started my computer, it told me I had no keyboard! This meant I had to move a pile of paper off the top of the CPU, {which is, of course, under the desk so I have to crawl around on my hands and knees muttering profanely},find a flashlight that actually works {on Fred’s side of the bed}, pull out the CPU, twiddle wires so I know which one was the keyboard, disconnect and reconnect it, and start the computer up again. Problem solved. {Entropy strikes again} Since I had a working flashlight in my hand, I then made my way to the storage area where the plug connection was, and hooked up the Christmas tree! So, yea! for me.

I want today to be over  {But probably nowhere near as strongly as Fred does}
