Confused! and Other Stuff

Well, so far I am confused by the new OD and keep clicking on the wrong thing! But that’s OK because I am Officially Old and supposed to be confused by new things! It will all sort itself out eventually.

I am still waiting for the email that says my new Kindle has shipped. I am not helped by other people on the Kindle boards and/or the groups ecstatically writing that their Kindle has shipped! My email program, Thunderbird, chirps when new mail comes in and I keep thinking the awaited email is here… I know I am being silly. The Kindle is not due until the 25th …

OK, I am off to sweep snow off the cars. We has an all-day influx of snow yesterday. I kept telling myself I would get out there and clear the cars when the snow stopped but it never stopped! It doesn’t seem quite right {or sensible, even} to clear snow off cars while it is still snowing!

I am so used to the dictionary not working that I had to go back and use it after I had saved…

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going."

Jim Rohn

"Enjoyment is not a goal; it is a feeling that accompanies important ongoing activity."

haha, I dont think being old has anything to do with it. I’m confused, too! Besides, you’re still young 😉

I hear ya!!! I am 50 and confused. I asked the DM for the Kindergarden version. I liked the old version of which I was perfectly content at.

Well, count me in the “old” group, then, because I am VERY confused. Lots of complaints around OD, I’m noticing. I think we’ll all just need to get used to it.

the only thing I’ve figured out so far is what was favorites, is now bookmarks

February 23, 2009

I’m a bit confused by some things too! I know that it’ll be a learning process 🙂

being old doesn’t have a thing to do with it. i’m confused as well. anyway, i don’t think you’re old at all. the new od will get easier as we use it. take care,

At least yours saved.

I’m pretty confused too. I’m sure it’ll get easier, but in the meantime it’s making me crazy.

It seems to have more information – like when people leave notes and stuff – and it seems that you can be emailed when people update – which is a little TMI for me. Oh well – just so it works, I guess.

I’m confused by the new layout myself, and I’m not old. This is a lot of change to digest all at once…

I’m sure I’ll get used to it but right now I confess that I hate the change… and am confused. Still, the spell checker could be could – although I think I don’t have time to be spell checking everything.

I’m a bit younger than you and I find the new layout confusing as anything. Bookmarks? Friends? Which of those is like favorites? I’ll get used to it, but in the meantime, there’s a lot of “huh?!”

February 23, 2009

I’m really not liking the “friends” and the “bookmarks” split. I don’t see the reason behind doubling that one. Oh well, irs the Dm’s world right? 🙂

Okay I’m confused but refused to be old and confused. I like Bird’s advice of a kindergarden version, or maybe an OD lite?

I think that it will take all of us a bit of time to get used to. I don’t like the longer time that everything takes to load. I beleive they may have to upgrade their servers a bit or perhaps it’s just that a lot more people are on today trying things out.

February 23, 2009

I think that you figure out most things quicker than I do! :o) !! hugs, Nicky

I am a guy, so am confused all day long!!! Nothing new here. hahahaha Is there supposed to be something different about this diary thing that I should be noticing? I just keep reading and all the words seem to be in English so that’s all I care about! And nobody has fallen off the roof! Be well and have fun with the Kindle 2…dan

You are the youngest “old” person I’ve ever known! Kindle. I don’t even really know what that is! Claire
