Classwork Update

I looked at what I had done in the grammar part of the book and it was a good job I did. I thought we just had exercises 1-4. A more careful reading disclosed that it was exercises 1-7  So, I finished those. I have to retype all of them tomorrow.

The oral report is coming along nicely. I have had to look up a word or two but basically I am quite pleased at how much I know. Now, sentence construction is a different matter!

I think while I am watching TV tonight in the bedroom, I will type the grammar work on the laptop. It is basically mindless copying from my notebook and I can get at least some of it done. If I am fortunate enough to get it all done, I can print it out thanks to wireless networking!

I was planning to work on the content of  the oral report but that requires thinking, and once it gets to 4 pm, I no longer think!  This will leave me tomorrow morning to complete the oral report planning. I have a massage on the afternoon. Then, on Monday, it will be constant practicing aloud using the cards.

Tuesday, I am the second person to make my report.

Until later….

You journal has me wondering about learning a foreign language myself. I love grammar – speaking about it, teaching it, discovering the wackiness of the English language through it – and I wonder if I would find the same thrill with, say, French.

I like hearing about your college experience. Maybe I’ll look into some classes here. My available time just opened up with the empty nest.

I love being wireless… it took me awhile to figure it out, but it’s great!! Good luck in your oral report! Will love to hear all about it too! 🙂

I would be absolutely tongue-tied. I am just managing to stay ahead of the students in French 8. I have to break it down so much for myself I think I am teaching at the right level for them.
