- Fred has finished putting my desk together!With some effort, we carried it into the art room and my Italian books are on it!
- You remember all that work I did yesterday? Well, it is due next Tuesday! {I read the homework sheet incorrectly! BUT that means I am ready for next week.}
- Actually, I am really behind with one assignment because I forgot to pick up a question and answer sheet to go with my web article last week. But it is a very short and easy sheet and she has no trouble with me turning it in on Tuesday.
- The test was nowhere near as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I am always surprised how much I know!
- She asked us to fill out a short survey before we left and one question was what did we think we were having trouble with. I wrote that I listen to the questions and there is a perceptible pause before my brain tells me what she has asked! I didn’t write this but I am assuming that this lag between hearing and understanding will decrease as I become more fluent.
- She also asked what we liked and I bet everyone wrote "the little stories." They really are fun and we laugh a lot. What she usually does is construct one with our help in class and then, using the same characters, we finish it and change it if we want to. She says she really enjoys reading the variations we come up with!
- I have just taken a few photographs of my art room and I wil include them in the next entry!
- Tomorrow I will do laundry and clean up the dining room.
- The rest of the house has been kept up pretty well and just needs a quick once-over before the company comes. I can do that on Saturday morning if I need to because they are not coming until the afternoon.
- Amanda at the library called me a while ago and told me she had Dick Francis’s new book reserved for me so I will pick it up tomorrow.
Until later….
Yay for pictures of the new desk!!!! And yay for your test being easier than you thought! I know what you mean about the lag… I do it with English and French. But I suspect that most of my problem is due to the fact that I rarely USE it, and I’m rusty beyond imagination! Ciao, Bella!!!!! ~M

Isn’t he a great author?! I learn something new from every book. I was able to meet him in person a few years ago – very exciting. He signed a book for me and one for my sister. Was the best Christmas present I ever gave her. I included a picture of me with DF.

“I listen to the questions and there is a perceptible pause before my brain tells me” — boy can I relate! Except my “perceptible pause” is about three days. *sigh!* I think it’s getting shorter, though. When I take tests, my mind goes blank and they are twice as hard as I think they’re going to be. Maybe that means I need to study more. I don’t know how it would help keep my brain intact at testing time, though. LOL!

Those little stories do sound fun if you get to finish them, change them up, etc. So glad Fred got your desk together… You should post a picture.
