Brief Update re DSL
We have had DSL but it has been painfully slow especially in downloading picture {me} and videos {Fred}. In fact it has been so slow that if a person on my favorites list indicated he or she had pictures, I skipped reading that person.
So, this morning Verizon actually sent a tech person to the house. He was very good and told us basically he had checked out lots of things and finished up by installing a filter outside.
And now, it works. It works FAST! Ok, bring on your pictures and videos! 
More later…I am off to the bank and the grocery store…

Woo-hoo! My DSL, the el cheapo low-end variety, does okay with pictures, but takes its time with videos. Okay, if you want to see a really cool video go to Google videos and type in “treadmill dance”.

we had to have one of those AND an amplifier installed to get both cable and internet to work. THAT was interesting. Glad its worked out!

My DSL at the office can be that way… Of course, my computer is as old as me. And the only reason I’ve not purchased a new one is because I’m too lazy to transfer all the info and programs, files, etc that I need off one computer, onto another. *L* Congrats on faster DSL, btw. Has to make life much easier! My brother is still on dial up. *L*

I have been sooo busy & not really in OD. I’m so glad you finally got your DSL. I’ll have to go back and see how long it took you. I just can’t believe how patient you were..and I know you probably don’t think you were patient. But I sure do!!
