Brief Entry

As I think I have mentioned before, I have been experimenting with calendars on my IMac. The one I am using now is called Mom’s Calendar and is a simple basic calendar that sits on my desktop. It has no bells and whistles and seemed to be what I needed for the moment. Anyway, I looked at it today and saw massage at 1:30. Ok, but what I didn’t notice is that it was on the Saturday of NEXT week! I discovered that when I went to the place where we meet and Beth wasn’t there. And that highlights the thing that this calendar doesn’t do which is to show me which day is today! Silly though it sounds, I quite often don’t know! So, I guess I will continue my hunt for a calendar which has everything I need and nothing I don’t want!

Hey, you’re retired! Knowing what day this is isn’t part of the job description. Reminds me of when Thorn’s uncle had a stroke. The EMTs were asking him questions to assess his mental state. When they asked him what day it was he said, “I’m retired! How the hell should I know what day it is?” LOL!!!

What about Sunbird?

Oh no! I don’t necessarily always know what day we are on either. I think it comes from not necessarily needing to know dates anymore because of being at home most of the time. Hugs, M

I use Yahoo’s calendar and I don’t know what I’d do without it. I like that it reminds me by email what I have on for the next day. The only drawback is if the internet is down. (Which isn’t often)

Do you use iCal? That’s what my colleagues and I use at work

I cannot wait until I do not know what day of the week it is because it doesn’t matter.
