Bits and Bobs
I went with Fred to get groceries today. His car is still awaiting parts so I was the designated driver. I really didn’t mind going grocery shopping because Fred actually did all the shopping. I stood in line at the checkout and used our joint account card to pay for the food, carried the bags upstairs and put the groceries away, but then the last two things are usually my part of the shopping experience. He fixed hamburger patties {no buns}, squash, green peppers and onions in a tomato sauce and potatoes for supper. It was delicious.
I have started my study of the Principles of Design for the quiz next Tuesday . One thing I really DO have to watch is my tendency to misspell Principals Principles! So far I have typed out the words with the key word of the definitions underlined. I had just finished writing by hand the first one — balance–ten times when it was time to eat so it was there I stopped. I don’t think I will do any more tonight since I have two DVDs from Netfix. They are both Sean Bean as Sharpe and that, I think, is the last of Sharpe’s adventures!
I went for a walk twice today. It has been an odd day weatherwise. It has been constantly threatening rain but never actually producing it although, as I look out of the window now, I see rain on the road.
Until later….
Here in most parts of the UK we’ve had the hottest May day in over 50 years! The food sounds good, so long as there’s no garlic of course…

: ) me? watching kung fu’s and Reese, at the same time. *huggs*

I always remember the principal/ple words because the person who heads up a school is your friend…your princiPAL. heh. Silly – but it keeps me straight.
Warning Comment
lol. I learned a long time ago that a princiPAL is over a school and that is because they are your PAL.

Lucky for you Fred does the cooking. Good luck in your exam.

Hmmm, Jo has prodded me over the past few years to take a college art class and now I know why I haven’t. It’s too much studying for me. I just want to DRAW! I read this last night and didn’t have anything to say (no surprise?) but a funny thing – I woke up thinking of your title “bits and bobs”. I hadn’t heard that expression in ages. I’m wondering about what ‘bobs’ means.
Warning Comment
Maybe like a plumb bob? Or a cork that floats to the surface? I know – I’m weird.

I am one of those people who cannot stand grocery stores. Don’t know where that came from, but it certainly explains why I’m always out of things, lol.

My husband and I rented National Treasure a few weeks ago and as we were watching I kept saying “that bad guy is soooo familiar” and then it hit me, I recognized him because he was Sean Bean whom you were displaying a picture of at the time. It was a good movie, I’d recommend it if you need more of a Sean Bean fix.

So that’s where our warm weather went… to England (reading your first noter) It is weird that the weather is so out of whack. I hope this summer will be warm. Last summer was not in New England.

need an occasional cook on this side of the Riviera ;-))

I always do my grocery shopping at 6AM on Saturday morning when the store opens up. Minimal customers (usually the same ones) and I’m in and out of there in under 20 minutes. frank

Well, I always remembered the correct spelling by keeping in mind that principles are seldom my “pals!” ryn: oh gosh, ya mean there is now another person I know who puts on shoes ‘n socks the way Joe does?? Again I must pause and ponder, “is it him who’s weird or is it ME??” 🙂 !! Here’s wishing you a lovely day. hugs, Weesprite
