I don’t know if this is true of all Freecycle sites but my local one has moved away from the Yahoo groups. I finally managed to configure my alias and Thunderbird so I can get mail. It was not even close to a user-friendly experience, although, I have to say I did enjoy pressing a button which said "Make it so."
Today it is sunny but I wouldn’t call 34 degrees warm. But tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 55 degrees which comes quite close to spitting distance of warm!
Today I am feeding the washer and dryer in the basement. One load is done and into the dryer, a second load is washing and the sheets are waiting.
One thing that has changed since I retired is that I now prefer the week over the weekend. At the weekend everyone is out shopping. During the week it is possible to find a parking place fairly easily.
There is just a tiny bit of snow right at the end of the yard, Of course, this doesn’t mean that we are through with snow since this is, after all, Vermont. But it is nice to be at least contemplating putting out the deck furniture.
In a few minutes, I am going to take my new Kindle out into the sunshine and turn "pages." If you are wondering why, it is because there have been reports on the boards about some Kindles where the eink fades when the Kindle is being read in the sunlight. Amazon has excellent customer support and every one that has found this problem has had their Kindle exchanged for a new one immediately. So, we shall see.
I am eventually planning to write a review of the Kindle 2 with photographs but I want to wait until I get my already-ordered skin from Decalgirl. I didn’t put a skin on the first Kindle but Serenity {my K2} dresses better than I do!
"You are not happy because you are well. You are well because you are
happy. You are not depressed because trouble has come to you, but
trouble has come to you because you are depressed. You can change
your thoughts and feelings, and then the outer things will come to
correspond, and indeed there is no other way of working."

There is a lot of truth to the old adage that laughter is the best medicine. A person’s attitude has an enormous impact on their physical well-being.

That’s odd that it would fade ink on an electronic image, isn’t it? I have never been disappointed in the customer service at Amazon and I try to get as much as I can from them because of it. I enjoy the freedom of going shopping during the week when I can for that same reason.

Love that skin 🙂 I’ve had mine outside and didn’t notice any fading, thankfully. Its sunnier today so maybe I’ll try it again 🙂 ♥

i too prefer running my errands during the weekdays than doing it on the weekends. I hate loads of people walking around like zombies because they don’t know what they want or where to find something. They stop right in front and middle of you and don’t move and you can’t get around them. Just plain rude.
