Before Class

There are two to do today since I never got round to doing yesterday’s!

Italian Phrase of the Day: Mi passerebbe il sale ed il pepe, prego? Would you please pass me the salt and the pepper? Che è la minestra del giorno? What is the soup of the day?

My comment on this: La minestra del giorno è minestra di pomodoro. Non aver bisogno di sale; il pepe solo, grazie. The soup of the day is tomato . I do not need salt; pepper only, thanks.

Leslie just called and we are not walking this morning. She has a sore throut and sounds very stuffed up. I am secretly rather glad, not because she is not well but  because the temperature is MINUS seven. Since there is no wind, it feels like minus seven which is better than other wind chills I have walked in.

Now, list for today:

  • make the coffee
  • eat a good breakfast
  • clean the snow and ice off my car and make sure it will start
  • pack my school bag and go to school at 10:30 am
  • make a list of what I want to do after school—stuck in my head is the notion that I need to go to Walmart’s but I can’t remember what for!

Ok, I had better go get this madly exciting day started…..

QUOTATION FOR THIS MONTH: If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment. — Marcus Aurelius

Until later….

Ah, the little voice in your head. Never fails. You’ll remember what it was as soona s you get home. At least, that’s what I would do. LOL!

Hmmm. . . breakfast. Maybe I should do that!

I saw on our local news this morning, a feature on someone petitioning the snow gods in Vermont, to bring snow. There was a beautiful young girl wearing a bikini and skis, praying to the snow gods. I think it was in connection with the ski resorts. Sounds like YOU have snow though!

Going to the Walmart when you can’t remember what for, could be exciting! You might buy all kindsa things you never even thought of buying ’til you got there! :o) !! WOW, it is cold there. I see that Maine is minus thirteen today. Here we are down to about freezing, but in Maine or Vermont that would feel like a heat wave! hugs, Weesprite

I guess I have to be so very grateful to be in Florida.
