Bah!

Anyone think Verizon came through with DSL today on this the THIRD date they have given us? Of course they didn’t!    Yesterday we found a cheery perky voice  on the answering machine telling us that it would be yet one more week and how very sorry they were!

But apart from that, things are looking a lot better. Sunday we went out and bought a BIG bookcase. This morning it was delivered. Fred is going to put the shelves in and start unpacking books. Slowly, very slowly, the pile of unopened boxes is diminishing. We still need to buy a comfortable chair for Fred, a good reading light and a sofa…

My masseuse person has moved yet again! But I am glad  she is back doing massages after her accidnt. {About two months ago, she woke up in the emergency room and was told she hit a moose! Her car was demolished and she had a head injury. I don’t know what happened to the moose!} Anyway she called me and we set up an appointment for tomorrow evening. She gave directions to where she is doing massages now and yesterday Fred drove us both out there following the directions she gave me. It is a bit convoluted especially at the end since she is now, apparently, deep in a complex of townhouses, so I am going to drive out there myself after I have finished here to see if I can find it again!

Ok, I am off to read my email…

Until later….

A Pox on Verizon for being so horrid!!!!! How they can have such horrible customer service and stay in business is beyond me. The American consumer has just gotten so complacant. Glad that your masseuse is better…that must have been some terrible accident!

I don’t understand why this is taking so long for the DSL. Are they giving you any reason? It’s just unfathomable to me. I’ve never, ever heard of such awful service, especially from such a big company.

Good old Verizon… We just switched our cell phone service from Cingular to Verizon because the coverage is better (I get full service at my house with Verizon, for example, instead of no service where I normally sit). After three solid hours at the mall, we still didn’t have service on the new phones. During the next week, I called customer service, and a helpful employee spent an additional three or four hours on the phone with me over two days (my office phone – heh – my cell phone still wasn’t working) trying to figure out why the service wouldn’t change over. There were times when I had three people on the Verizon end coaching me through the prompts which never seemed to work. Finally we got it straightened out. But it made me wonder if changing over was such a good idea. After reading about your experiences with Verizon, I’m really wondering.

It was so good to see your entry!! I’ve missed you! Gee, it is ridiculous how long Verizon is taking to get you your DSL. It’s great that everything ELSE is coming-together in your new abode, though. hugs, Weesprite

well, pooh to Verizon. And yay for back massages and couragous back masseuse. Poor thing. That must be scary to wake up and discover you have been demolished by a moose. Hope she will recover all her capabilities and that you will have a good back massage.

*hugs* 🙂

I’ve heard of other people having similar Verizon issues. I’m sorry.

I would seriously be telling Verizon where to go… this is beyond ridiculous. I’m glad, though, that things are going along smoothly with the unpacking. I need to get several bookcases… between my pony collection (137 now!) and my books, I have absolutely nowhere to put them all. 🙂

That’s so irksome about your DSL. Companies are not very consumer-oriented like they used to be in the “good ole days.” I hope they come soon. And yay for new bookshelves.

Verizon is just screwing you left and right. You better tell them that now they owe you a month free or something. … I forgot what else I was gonna say.

Wonder what would happen if you just called Verizon and told them never mind. Wonder how quickly they would get out there. It is a shame the problems you are having. On the brighter side…glad you have a new bookcase and the boxes are disappearing!

i’m glad your massage therapist is ok after the accident! yikes! that could have been much worse. or so i understand. i can’t believe the ordeal you are going through just to get dsl. it’s horrible customer service. bah indeed!

Verizon is really having major problems! I have Sprint all the way..but only because I have to…at least local. I worked at Sprint for 18 years before I got sick and had to quit. Not sure what I think, really. They ALL have their issues.

I need a big new bookcase.

they should be punished for each day. I hope they will give you a free month or something for this trouble!

I don’t know what happened to the moose! Love that! But you are getting settled it, and hexes on Verizon. Anna
