Back!
I am back in Vermont and I am utterly exhausted.
I have called both my kids to let them know I arrived safely.
The airport at JFK was full of screaming kids, loud noises and a huge group of college students all yelling and giggling at the tops of their voices. I had a great fear they were going to be on the plane to Burlington but they went to New Orleans instead!
JFK is not the place to spend a four-hour layover.
It is just after 8 pm and I am preparing to go to bed. I will be up early tomorrow to begin getting rid of stuff. I have a ticket to go back to NC on the 18th. My schedule for this week is in the suitcase. I am NOT GOING TO LOOK AT IT TONIGHT!
Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.
– Oscar Wilde
Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone. ~Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers}
Having read your last few entries, I was afraid you were going to be absolutely exhausted when you got back. Rest, my friend!

Glad you made it home safe and sound. Now all you have to do is survive the next 8 days! One day at a time! 🙂

I’m glad you’re back safe and sound. You’re right about JFK not being a great place for a layover. We had to spend 12 hours there when we went to Germany for the first time. I hope you get lots of rest tonight!

I have spent time in JFK too and you are right, it is NOT the place for a long lay over. Hope your time in Vermont is not too tiring or overwhelming. Hugs,M

i’m hoping you are still sleeping now. i once had a 4 hour layover. i spent it reading and watching people and how they flowed in and out of the seats at the gate. passed time but i am glad i wasn’t near any noisy kids no matter their age. prayers the next few days goes by fast for you with everything being done smoothly. take care,

oh my. I sure am glad those college students and screaming kids went the opposite direction from you! Four hours is way too long to be stuck in a huge airport. I think you should take one day to just R-E-S-T! hugs, Nicky
