Attitude Makes the Difference

It is all about attitude, isn’t it. I got up this morning knowing I was going to get the homework done.

I have done the raccontino part, 100-150 words on B. Amore, a local sculptor. She is a very interesting person. She had an exhibit showing seven generations of her family at the museum on Ellis Island. It was not all sculpture. Most of it was documents and writings. Anyway, it is all in a book now.  You can read a bit about the book here. She is also having a show of her sculptures and photographs this summer at the gallery of her studio in West Rutland.

All I have left to do of homework is the grammar and that shouldn’t be too onerous since I started it earlier in the week, and then la prof went through it saying,  "Don’t do this" to quite a lot of it!

Oh, and the last day of class is May 3rd so that means I have only 6 more classes instead of the 12 I thought I had!  AND, even better, I do not have to take a day off class on the 10th of May to go see the doctor who will eventually replace my hip bone.

I have just been outside to clear snow off the cars since Fred will be going up to the drug store this afternoon. I look forward to the day when he can ask me to walk up there for him. Anyway, since the temperature is now in the middle 40’s, it was actually a matter of clearing off slush rather than snow! But it got me out and having a tiny bit of exercise.

Back to grammar!

QUOTATION: Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

You get out about the same time that I do then! I am getting excited, too, although a little stressed about the amount of work that is due and upcoming. Attitude does make a HUGE difference though!

You are very inspirational – and right. I got up this morning determined to get MY schoolwork done – and this attitude helped.

Funny, I had an e-mail ‘discussion’ with someone today that reflects your entry title.

It must be a relief to finish school.

Left the note with the PW a couple entries back – for some reason that’s where it took me when I clicked on what was supposed to take me to the most recent entry.

I just wanted to let you know that I used my xyron cutting machine for the first time tonight. It is absolutely WONDERFUL. I am in lurve with it 🙂 I can see myself spending *far* too much money on more font books and a carrying case for it in the very near future. Thank you thank you! This is a wonderful tool, and I’m going to have to add to it soon 🙂
