Another Update
- If you thought there was a previous entry about how angry I am feeling about what is happening to me, you were right. I made it private. Mentioning what is going wrong with my body is one thing. Getting angry about it is another thing and one that is not good for me so I am going to do my best to not to vent anger. I am not saying I will never vent again, but if I do it, I will privatize the entry.
- My finger nails are painted a lovely orange-red and I am very cheered up by this.
- I finally got round to ordering a replacement cell phone. It should be here in a couple of days. My older son called me this morning to check on what was going on. He mentioned my deceased cell phone and I was very pleased to be able to tell him that I ordered one yesterday!
- Since I seem to be be going to the ER on a regular basis, today I found my small backpack and started packing a few things so that Jake won’t have to scramble around to find clothing. I have underpants, shorts and a T-shirt. There are a couple of plastic bags with toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, hand lotion, and a comb. I need to add a pair of jeans and a pair of shoes with some socks stuffed into them. My Kindle and its charger will be in my purse. And, I suppose, my cell phone.
- I mentioned, I think, that Jake took me out to dinner last Friday? It was a great place in Raleigh called Bu-Ku. I had their hot pot which went to the top of the list as the best food I have ever eaten! {It pushed cold water melon on a hot day down to second place!} It was sweet but not too sweet with a little sharp bite of something as I swallowed it. It also had bites of chicken and lots and lots of fantastic mushrooms. Jake had a plate with about five different things on it. One was kimchee which one day I will get brave enough to try. There was also steamed kale which I DID try and liked. I have always avoided kale because it looks like cabbage which is, I see now was my loss since it doesn’t taste or smell a bit like cabbage. {I hate cooked cabbage because of its smell. Raw cabbage is excellent.}
"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." from the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew — Matthew 6:34
Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?

If not me, then who?
If not now, then when?
The hot pot sounds great. I love cold watermelon, but the good ones are gone. The last couple we got were pulpy and stringy in the middle. Funky nail polish is a great cheer up thing.

It all sounds wonderful. I’m with you on the cooked cabbage.

I tried KimChee. Never again. Steamed kale is wonderful though. 🙂

Hot pot is good. Kimchee is good too, and good for you as well. Just ask them to make it mild. I’d pack a list of medications in that bag as well, it’s a godsend as they always ask me what I’m taking.

Sorry you’re having to go through such horribleness – no wonder you’re angry – I would be too. RYN: I’m so glad you enjoyed ‘The Assassin’s Cloak’! They have another one out called ‘The Secret Annexe’ about diaries relating to the war. I didn’t find that one so good I have to admit – I liked the variety in the other one better but you might enjoy it.

Not sure that I would have liked that restaurant. LOL Glad you did though!! 🙂 I’m trying to let my nails grow out so that I can get my first ever manicure. Almost 49 and I have never had one. I was doing quite well with them until the other day. I got upset and bit one thumb nail off. 🙁 Hugs,M Oh, I am about to plug in the mattress pad!!! It has gotten VERY chilly here all of a sudden and I

Getting angry is perfectly normal, especially when you’re going through stuff. Please don’t try to stuff it away – it’s okay to vent it. It doesn’t mean you’re dwelling on it. If you let it out, you can move past it. Sit on it, and it’ll just sit there until you explode. You are allowed to be angry. You are allowed to be upset. You are allowed to cry. You are allowed to scream at the universe.

You are even allowed to jump up and down and kick your feet and yell ‘IT’S NOT FAIR!!!!!!’ Because it’s not… but whatever ends up happening to you, you don’t have to do it alone. (huggles)

That food sounds wonderful…don’t be afraid to vent here. So many times just writing out problems helps them to fade away….and you can see in a different perspective from the written word compared to what is in your head…

I keep a couple of plastic bags with sundries in my suitcase so I can pack for a two week trip in 20 minutes. All the things you would hit the local Walmart for if you forgot.

Take care. Glad for the update.
