Another Short Entry
We are waiting for the winter storm we have been promised. We are expecting snow tonight, all day tomorrow and ending, I think on Monday. Fred and I went to get a few last-minute important groceries and I was surprised to see how long the checkout lines were. However, most people waiting in line were just like us in getting a few bits and pieces so the lines moved quickly.
I did a bit of work today in cleaning off some of the junk on my computer desk, but if we are going by useful stuff done today, well, it was a somewhat wasted day. Good job tomorrow is a new day…
Fred is making a home made soup in the kitchen so good smells are floating through the apartment…
QUOTATIONS:

That Fred sure is the cook, eh? Good find in him!

RYN: Yes, Rocket is not into it too much and Sadie isn’t either. I know that it takes a while for that to be interesting, but those two definitely don’t care for it 🙂

Yummy for soup! I should make some too… Hmmm, got my thinking going 🙂

I sure wish I was a soup person. I need to make a batch for Reading Circle next week, and I don’t have a clue what to make. I only have two or three creamy recipes, but I think they’d prefer the broth kind, and I don’t have any. GAAA! Now that you’re hunkered down for the storm, you can plan all your indoor activities!

Hope you stay warm and dry and well fed!

I love soup on a cold winter’s day (or night). We got a little sleet and snow this morning, have experience some drizzle during the day, and we’re supposed to get some light snow again tonight. I guess winter is here!

It’s interesting to watch this storm head east via Open Diary. It totally fizzled for us–I hope it does for you also (unless you would like it).

RYN: Yes! I actually loved that my oncologist gave the “do nothing” as an option. We forget sometimes that doing nothing is still a choice. Blessings to you! =)

There are few things nicer in wintertime than having one’s home filled with delicious cooking-smells! I’ll be interested in hearing how much snow you get, and am glad to know you’re well-stocked and shall be warm and cozy throughout! hugs, Weesprite

It is finally turning colder here in Alabama. Reading my favourites in the north describing the storms gives me a nostalgic feeling of when I lived in Western NY State. There is nothing like a pot of home made soup on the stove on a bitter cold day..enjoy!!

J and I swung into the local Megamart yesterday and picked up stuff, enough so that if we did get stuck in the house, we’d have food and enough fuel to run the generator if we need to. Today is just cold and windy out, with stuff falling out the sky, and the plows rumbling by.

Amazon emailed me and they are sending me a replacement box of plates. They are also sending me postage- free return stuff. So I just have to return the broken plates along with the rest of them 🙂 Thanks for the information 🙂

ryn “to a son who is 50!”: You have my sympathy. It isn’t fair that we should have to get older just because OTHER people do!

We got that storm Saturday night and Sunday. It dropped about eight inches of snow here. My neighbor plowed our sidewalks and driveway with his sparkly new snowblower. Whee! ryn: Thank you for all your kind support for my entries Patrisha. It means a lot to me.
