Another Good Day So Far EDIT

EDIT: Re #5, I called them and apparently I overpaid Fairpoint by $3.97. I almost always fail to notice the brackets around the amount which mean an overpayment! They are sending me a check. I will not spend that huge amount all in one place! LOL Oh, and I have done everything on the list 30 minutes before I go to ophthalmologist!

I am being slowly driven mad by the fact that I have put the big can of coffee I brought with me from Vermont "somewhere." I am fairly sure I put it in one of the cupboards in the kitchen and the packet of coffee filters on top of it. I drink coffee only seldom {Fred was the one who drank coffee all day} but when I want a cup of coffee I want it right now without having to look in every cupboard. So, I bought a small can when I went shopping yesterday and more filters since the ones I have are with the coffee– wherever that may be.

Goals for today:

  • Fill pillboxes
  • Make a card with medications, etc, to take with me when I go to the ophthalmologist this afternoon
  • make bed
  • Fold and put away laundry. This is half done in that things are folded and half of it has been put away.
  • Open a box. Again, half done. I was in the walk-in closet hanging up clothes when I saw a half-empty box in there so I emptied it! {This is why putting away the laundry is only half done. I got distracted.}
  • Move cook books to the shelves I have emptied for them.
  • GO TO THE OPHTHALMOLOGIST.
  • Put Kindle paperwhite in purse for reading at ophthalmologist’s while I am waiting. {I almost always get to places early and then I get to sit in my car and read.}
  • Pay the Fairpoint bill. I feel bad about this because this is the second month I have got the bill. The amount is less than $5 and last month, I just plain forgot it!  These are the people with whom I had internet access when I was living in Vermont. I will do it right after I finish here!

OK, I am off to write a check for the $3-and-something I owe Fairpoint and then I will finish the laundry.

No sign of a mouse. No turds, nothing on the sticky strip and the potato in the container on the counter is untouched. Long may this last.

Good to see that you are making plans and fulfilling them. I wish you all the best in this new part of your life, as I hope you know.

I’m surprised you didn’t find the coffee the very second you brought new coffee home from the store! :o) !! After supper this evening, I spent a lot of time looking all over the house for my glasses. When I finally found them, I had forgotten where I laid the new TIME magazine that I wanted to read…..so then I had to look all over the house for that! hugs, Nicky

I see you are making progress on quite a long list.

Yay for no mouse! I keep my list of medications in an Excel spread sheet, you could use a word document. Then I can just add a medication or delete one easily. Then I print that off to give to the nurse. Every Dr office I have given the list to really appreciates it. Easy for me b/c I don’t have to worry about handwriting.
