And Later Today….

One month from today will be my birthday. By my birthday, I like to have the outside flower boxes planted and set up on the balcony rails outside. Today, it is snowing heavily and the snow is sticking! I hope all of this is over quickly. Fred has promised me that he won’t give me snow for my birthday. The weather has been very strange all day. This morning it started raining and it rained all day. About two hours ago big fluffy snowflakes started but now we have the steady lasting-for-a-long-time flakes.  I am so tired of this snow.

For the last couple of days I have got up early, wasted time and gone back to bed for a couple of hours. Tomorrow I begin the going back to the old regime of working on stuff that needs to be done first thing in the morning and then "wasting" time later in the day when I have no energy anyway. I know I can do this. When I was teaching, I used to get up at 4 am and jump right into grading and all the things that had to be done before I went to school. At 3:30 pm I left my desk exactly as it was and straightened it all up the next morning.

Fred is making a home-made beef and barley soup so good smells are coming from the kitchen. He just gave the "It’s soup!" call!

QUOTATION: Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Fred sounds like a definite keeper. Hope you get some sunshine soon.

That’s a pretty sensible thing really – working out your routine to match your peek energy times. I must try it. Of course, first I shall have to figure out when I have energy…lol

I love soup especially chicken soup and pea soup both homemade of course.

They had forecasted snow for us on Friday evening/Sat morning but it didn’t get quite cold enough. Today it was in the sixties and I was outside in shirt sleeves. So the warmer weather is right behind your snow.

I’m a moarning person. I love getting up with the chickens and getting stuff done. Trouble is, with all the stuff I’ve got to do these days I’d have to get up before I got to be to get it all done! LOL! It’s mice to get things done early in the day, though, isn’t it!

Hopefully this snow will be gone soon.

Send Fred down here so that he can give E some cooking lessons! LOL The soup sounds delicious. I have also gotten in the habit of wasting morning time and then being too tired by afternoon to do anything. I hate that! Guess it’s time I make a change too. Hugs, M

No snow here, but the road at the foot of the drive keeps turning into a stream. I am so tired of this rain.

What a nice guy Fred is!!! I’m thinking the weather has been pretty weird around my part of the country, too! It’s driving me crazy.

I surely hope you do not have snow for your birthday!!!! :oO !! It has poured down rain all yesterday here, and STILL is, at 2 a.m. I am tired of it, and last time I looked (when it was still daylight yesterday) the water in our stream (which has steep banks) was nearly up to the top!! We might need to cut off our deck and use it as a boat!! ryn: oh dear, why did I write six months?? I knew you are going for six weeks! I will fix that! Thanks for pointing it out! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

I sometimes wish I was a morning person. But I think I would miss the nocturnal life too much.

I know what you mean about the snow. I hope it goes away soon so you can plant your flowers (me, too!) The soup smells just delicious.

Haha- I meant the soup sounds just delicious. But maybe I was channelling the other sense!
