An Exercise in Linear Perspective

an exercise in drawing linear perspective I am finished! At last.

This is my city otherwise known as an exercise in linear perspective. The lines are not showing up too clearly in the sky. Those smudges are clouds and there are several little helicopters buzzing around.

I really enjoyed doing this.

I think your buildings all had the same architect. 🙂 I am always impressed by people who can create pictures without looking at something. I think it takes an incredible amount of creativity.

I love this! I remember taking an art class in middle school, and we did perspective. It was one of the few things I could draw… perhaps because usually all I did was buildings and they’re square:) This came out great though. So glad you put up a scan of it.

Excellent! Now I see how you achieved tow vanishing points. The ‘graffiti’ adds a nice element of whimsy and interest. I think you’ll get an A+, Patricia. Wouldn’t it be fun for you to go a ‘graffiti’ design in color? I’m looking forward to seeing your pen and ink work.
