Ahem! Drawing Class Update
I have an A in drawing–three more weeks {which is six more classes} to go… 
I went looking for another art class for this fall and all the ones I am interested in have Drawing I {the class I am taking} as a prerequisite!
Today there were three of us listening to IPods while we drew–two iPods and a shuffle {Me} .Jean {instructor} doesn’t mind as long as we have them off while she is actually teaching.
Today we drew a landscape in ink in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. This is the last one. From now on we develop our own style. Francis, the guy who sits next to me, did a drawing like a wood cut!
Homework for Thursday is to do a full-length-figure from life or from a photograph. This is being done with no instruction. 
We will be spending the next four classes on the human form in and out of class. I guess this assignment is the baseline …
We were told how to mat our pictures today. For our portfolio we have to have ten of our favorite pieces and they must all be matted or mounted
Oh, and did I mention I have an A?

Way to go…..Teacher got an “A”! LOL My son’s artwork came home from school today and I had to fill out a form for his teacher about what I thought he learned, his skills, etc…I have no CLUE! LOL!! But I did think of you when I was looking at his artwork 🙂
