Afternoon Trip to Town

I just got back from town where I had tea with Dagnabbit. Well, I had a strawberry scone, too! The tea place was lovely and the menu was also an account of the adventures of people off to China and Japan and India in search of tea. I will definitely have to go there again. Oh, and a very nice touch was that after you were seated and the menu given, you also get a tiny little bell to ring when you are ready to order!

We then wandered around and spent a little money. Well, I did anyway. I got some body butter {Passion Fruit} from the Body Shop. This was really quite amusing. I had been in there earlier before Dagnabbit arrived and had tried different fragrences on my skin and told the woman I would be back when I had met my friend. She obviously hears that excuse "I”ll be back later" a lot because when I walked up to the counter with my cream she said, "Oh! You did come back!" The other purchase I made was from Sox. I still think it is odd that there is a chain store devoted to socks, but I got myself three jazzy pairs–two striped and one checkered in assorted bright colors.

Earlier I got a phone call saying the folk dancing class tonight had to be cancelled because the instructor had an emergency with her mother. Although I hope nothing serious happened, I am glad to have the evening off. We walked around a lot and I am a little tired…

I only use body butter now and then. I bought one that is with KEMP. I had no idea it was marijuana until I saw the leave a month later as a watermark on it! I was shocked and Rich laughed so hard because he thought I knew! Well, I AM naive when it comes to drugs. And I bet a lot of people say that… but you of course mean it! 🙂

Sounds like a nice day. Never heard of strawberry scones before but they remind me of cherry scones – I used to buy huge ones in a local baker’s beside where I used to work & sometimes I’d have eaten 3 of them by the time I’d leave work! Patrisha – how do you change the background for an individual entry? I thought I had the correct code but when I try to type it in it won’t accept it. Thanks.
