A Very Short Entry
Ok, according to the homework sheet, I am supposed to give a 3 to 4 minute talk in Italian on Tuesday on the lesson I won’t be giving until the following Friday! Actually, I can use this as a way to work out the alternate lesson I am having to prepare on telling time. I still have not yet heard from their teacher. If I don’t hear from her, at the moment I am not sure if I will go with numbers-to-a-hundred or telling time.
A while ago I bought myself a rather nice picture dictionary in Italian where words and phrases are grouped under subjects. I was pleased to see that there was a whole section on telling time. This is going to be very helpful.
Things to do today:
- work on pulling together the outline lesson on telling time {I will finish this tomorrow}
- go for a massage at 1 PM
Our company leaves today. I am very fond of them all but I feel the need to say that letting a sixteen-year-old boy be the real ruler of the family and do exactly as he likes is not a Good Thing. And that is all I will say about that.
QUOTATION: If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it!

You’re right, letting the kids rule the roost is not good. It’s an easy thing to get in to, though. It’s easier to let them have their own way and you do want them to be happy. I very much like your new quotation about swimming out to the boat.

That Boy shall grow up thinking he is King, and his parents will wonder where he got that idea from! Then he will be astounded the day he finds out that he isn’t REALLY King! :oO !! hugs, Weesprite

Ooooh, I would have been in so much trouble if I thought I had ruled our family at that age! Kids today are so different than when I grew up. It seems they think they can do or say just about anything without getting in trouble.I guess that’s where the real problem lies. They DON’T get in trouble for it. Enjoy your massage! Hugs, M

I hear you about the teenage boy issue. There’s a fine line to tread when trying to protect fragile teenage egos and trying to keep their self-esteem from soaring to super human realms.

I must have missed a few entries. Any child being the ruler of a family is a very bad thing.

I saw some beautiful dishes from Italy today and I thought of you going to Italy and how wonderful that is going to be. 🙂

Nope, letting a teenager rule the roost is a very bad thing — my younger brother was that way, and it was sheer hell in that household. I envy you that massage today. But at least it is warming up now.
