A To-Do List
Things I would like to get done today:
- buy potting soil {I have already got the balcony boxes out and the house plants out on the table.}
- look at impatiens at the nursery but I think it would be more sensible to wait until the end of May. When we lived upstairs, the balcony was sheltered and I could get the plants out in the plant boxes by my birthday {May 15th}
- buy lightbulbs {all we have are 100 watt bulbs} it is interesting how light bulbs seem to die at about the same time!
- buy crackers so I can eat them with cheese Fred bought
- get out the box of shoes for Fred to rummage through
- get my questions for the orthopedic surgeon out of my head and onto paper–I see him on the 10th.
- send email to the school in Lucca so they know when to pick me up in Pisa.
QUOTATION: If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it!

I looked at impatiens yesterday when we were at Wal Mart. I always have a few pots of them sitting on our porch. The ones there didn’t look so good though. May have to try Lowes.Sounds like another busy day for you. Hugs, M

Do you have any pansies out yet? If we see the Queen tomorrow, we’ll tell her you said hello!

When I lived in Western New York, Memorial Day was the safe day for putting out annuals. After such a long winter you just want to see some green and color! Here in Alabama they say to not plant till after Easter. that makes no sense as the Easter dates vary wildly!! Have a great weekend!!

For some odd reason this year, I’m really thinking about pansies.
