A Short Update *
EDIT: An OD friend told me to save the entry, go back to edit the entry and then run the spell checker and it works. And she is correct, it does! Good tip!
Physical therapy at the pool yesterday was enjoyable at the time. Later in the evening, there wasn’t a part of me that didn’t hurt. However, after a brief {and unplanned} nap in the early evening, I slept well the rest of the night and this morning, there is very little pain. However, I have another PT session at 10 this morning… I AM seeing a big improvement in the lessening of pain but although I think I feel an improvement in the strength of my left leg, it is such a minute improvement that I am also wondering it I am imagining it. However, our neighbor Martha who is a nurse cheered me up because after minutely scrutinizing both legs she remarked that she could see no atrophy of the muscles in the left leg at all. My legs have always been strong which I attribute to the bike riding I did as a kid. We had no car so either we caught a bus, walked or rode our bicycles to go anywhere. But I won’t consider I am completely over this surgery until I am able to walk without a stick and without a limp.
I went out for a walk a day or two ago and took photographs so I want to upload some of them to photobucket some time today. The ones in particular that I would like to get up are the flowers on our deck which were looking particularly nice when I took the picture. It is so hot here that the boxes and baskets have to be watered every day. Fortunately, the hose is right by our steps.
Anyone else besides me having a problem with the spell checker?

I always seem to catch you on the front page! Be patient. It will take a while to recover completely!

🙂 I suspect that your leg may improve little by little, such a small improvement that at first you hardly notice and then suddenly you will realise that you are doing things that you couldn’t before, without even thinking about them. 🙂 PT in the pool sounds great … if painful.

The fact that you are thinking of doing photography now encourages me…you finally have room in your mind for things other than hip stuff, which is something you set for yourself! Can’t wait to see the pictures. It’s been a long time since you shared your “walking around the neighborhood taking photos” pictures. And yes, the spell checker has been kind of funky with me lately, usually if I runit before I save an entry. If I save it, then edit and run the spell checker, it generally works.
Warning Comment
I could never get the spell checker to work. I will open up Word sometimes so that I don’t appear to be an idiot. I’ll be looking for the answer to this one.

That’s very good news Martha gave you about your leg muscles! And I hope you have another good day today! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

That’s great! I’m glad that there are such great improvements. I have never used the spell checker on here.

You are working hard, following orders…have faith, things are progressing even though you can’t sense the motion.

It must be tremendously reassuring to have your neighbor Martha giving support. What a good friend! All of the walking you’ve done in the past has helped you now. I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures.

I always write my entries in Word first, spellcheck, and then paste them into OD. I never lose a typed entry this way. frank

I have never gotten the OD Spell Checker to even open. 🙂 – – – –

The spellchecker here has always given me fits.

I don’t know about the spell checker. I never use the one on OD. I always type my entries in Microsoft Word, use spell check there, and then cut and paste into OD.

3 people today reminded me of my connection to Vermont and that reminds me how much I miss everything about it, including seeing you occasionally. I have every confidence you will have a smashing trip to Italy and I will enjoy reading about it. Best…

ryn: It’s not up yet. I’ll put it up after J and I go grocery shopping. 🙂 I’ll let you know.

ryn: I just posted it. It’s under the stories section and it’s title is ‘Guilty’. Feel free to suggest another title after you read (if you read!). I don’t think I like that as the title. 🙂
