A Short Entry

I have felt so tired today that I have just given into it and not walked at all.

However, I have washed, dried and put away three loads of clothes and stripped the bed, washed the sheets and remade the bed. Oh, and put ingredients in the machine for another loaf of white bread.

Actually now I think about it, I have done some exercise since I tutored Robin this morning and walked up to her 4th floor apartment instead of taking the elevator. And, of course up and down two flights of stairs here ummm—four times getting the clothes done here. I do not need to beat myself up about taking no exercise when I have done this much.

Mostly I do not look at my face or body and notice that I am old, but what does make me aware of time passed is how tired I am after doing anything more strenuous than I usually do. Yesterday I walked for almost an hour in one session {I usually do an hour but in two separate sessions}. Today I am physically wiped out.

Until later…

As I have said, “I’m resigned to growing old. But I refuse to grow up!” 🙂 – – – –

I think you had plenty of exercise on the stairs. Sometimes our bodies have to ring the doorbell of our mind and tell us we need time out.

Everyone I know is complaining how tired they are.

with your schedule I think anyone would be tired. You have more energy than most 15 year olds..

April 11, 2005

You are so active – you will never get “old”!

April 11, 2005

Nope, no need to beat yourself up woman! Sounds like you’ve done plenty.

I hope you get some rest.

Stairs are hard work, don’t sell yourself short!! 🙂 Hugs,

*hugg* you have done more than I have…..my day consisted of tv, popsicles & cough medicine yuk!

I tell my friends all the time that I feel like I’m still 25 but then I see the wrinkles and signs of aging at “almost 40” and reality sets in. And the fact that my BODY doesn’t feel 25, either..LOL!

Sounds like a lot of exercise to me! Then again, I sat in a chair for eleven hours straight today.

You seem to have so much energy!! I need your secrets 🙂

Actually, Patrisha, after that hour walk, your body needed a day to rest. You should NEVER beat yourself up, for any reason ((that, from the Queen of self-beating!!)) Anna

If these bouts of fatigue have occurred recently, maybe you should get a check-up?

April 12, 2005

You do a lot, really. It’s no wonder you’re tired. But still….I’ve been reading you for months. It doesn’t seem your “norm” to feel so tired. Please look after yourself, ok? hugs, Weesprite

Please don’t beat yourself up , you do so much and get exercise every day . Maybe you could give me the boot so I could get myself in gear and do some exercising as you do .

April 12, 2005

That’s a lot of work today…

ryn: Thank you 🙂

April 12, 2005

RYN: Thank You! I do enjoy it short, I’ve had it short many times before – and as long as it isn’t a complicated ‘do, I’m alright. With my daughter running me ragged, I don’t have time to do much to my hair!! 🙂

April 12, 2005

Sometimes I feel that way and I am 20 years younger. You still amaze me at what you do. I only wish I can be like you.

ryn: I really think that a lot of students can relate to the emotions that Romeo and Juliet go through during the play. The mercurial qualities of their emotions is something that the kids can really get into, even if they can’t get into the language. Some of my kids said they read Macbeth in 7th or 8th grade…

It really is ok to take a break every once in a while. I find I come back more strong and feeling much better. I do that alot with my workouts. If I am not feeling up to it I take a break and sleep in and feel much better. It’s ok so don’t beat yourself up about it. It will always be there when you feel the urge again. It helps my dispostion too. I find I am in a better mood when I do.
