A Quick Update
What seems to work for me is visualization. Before I succeeded with the first shower, I spent a long time contemplating the bathtub and visualizing myself getting into it–deciding which leg first and what would I touch and hold onto for balance. I have been doing the same with walking with a stick…
So, last night, almost on an impulse, I picked up the stick, transferred it to my right hand and walked from the bedroom into the living room to surprise Fred! I don’t know who was more surprised, him to see me or me that I DID it!
About an hour ago, I walked with the stick into the bathroom, took a shower , dressed myself {I had put my clean clothes in the bathroom the night before} and walked out here with the stick to the work room where I am now.
Next, into the bedroom to get my sandals and put them on, then to the kitchen to make toast for myself and coffee for both of us.
The physical therapist comes today!
It is three weeks and one day since the surgery!

Me, too, Patrisha….I’m a believer in visualization. The only limitations we have are those we put upon ourselves. You, darlin’, do not seem to have this problem 😉

Yes, visualisation does work very well! Have you heard of the book called “The Secret”? It says that if you visualise exactly what you want, and ask for it, you’ll get it!
