A Quick Note

AAAGH! The toaster is broken! Fred told me last night that the little lever that you pull down to take the toast down wasn’t working but I forgot so I popped two sliced of bread in there this morning, and…nothing…NO toast! Well, I guess I will get a replacement tomorrow and drop this one off at the local recyle place where they do repairs on things like this! So, goodbye, little red toaster….

Today I am having the make-up massage I had to forgo because of  the vertigo a couple of weeks ago. I am so looking forward to it. It is not just the massage, per se but the lovely effect all those oils and lotions have on my skin. I have a naturally dry skin anyway, and that seems to be getting worse as I get older so I like my one day every two weeks when my skin feels lovely.

I am sitting here in my work room enjoying the cleanliness and tidiness of it. Long may it last.

Tomorrow I am going to go to the local nursery and get flowers. I am tired of looking at the empty boxes. Yes, I know I said I would wait until the end of the month but I want to see flowers. I also need some more potting soil for the two hanging baskets.

Ok, I am off to make coffee and start the day.

Oh, I would be lost without my toaster! I sooo want to go to the garden center, especially since it’s very close to being too late to plant much down here. If you haven’t got it planted by June then chances are good it won’t survive a later planting because of the heat. Go get your flowers and enjoy picking them out! Hugs, M

ryn: Lots of haggling! What a hoot. The nice thing about it was that we had a guide who the company hired to show us around and also a local woman from the office. They helped to make sure we weren’t taken advantage of.

That’s the nice thing about GIVING massage. My hands are ALWAYS soft. LOL. If you think that feels great, get a salt scrub and then do the massage. OMG! Heaven! Actually, I found some salt scrub stuff at the dollar store the other day. You could do it yourself (except your back, but you could have Fred do that part). You put it on and rub it till you feel a little raw. It kind of feels like beingsandpapered. YOu can do it in the tub. (On dry skin, don’t run the water yet). Then you just rinse it all off. Then go get a massage. A sugar scrub is the same thing, except it’s sticky.

Perhaps the little red toaster will get fixed and find a new home. Lovely, a massage, I envy you.

I have had Vertigo twice in my life. It is AWFUL!

Oh, enjoy that massage!!!

I remember you had the picture of your red toaster in your profile pic for a while. Sad to see it go….

Broken toaster — ouch! I don’t know what I would do if ours gave it up. I can always make it through most things if I know that I have tea and toast available.

I’d love to go for a massage. Skin is dry all the time because of the weather here. I’m sure you’ll feel great afterwards.

If you happen to find and buy a toaster that makes predictable, evenly toasted toast, please specify the make and model here on OD. I’ve been trying to find a satisfactory toaster for decades, and they all stink – regardless of price. (And have a wonderful day! 🙂 )

ryn: I just have the regular sized foreman. It has a bun wamer on top and fits like two turkey breasts in it. J and I both want the one that has the different plates in it… like you can switch for griddle and then to waffle and whatnot. But that’s a ways down the road 🙂

ryn: well, yeah, he does poop on stuff, but parakeet poop is so tiny you can hardly see it and it dries up quick, so it just vacuums right up.

Do you get a full body massage? I’ve only ever had back, neck and shoulder massage. I’m not sure if I’d like a full body massage.
