A Lovely Morning

It is a lovely morning with sunshine. I have been sitting here reading Open Diary without the slightest guilt and without shooting one glance at the clock! When I am in school, I have to be pretty strict with myself in the morning. Usually I alot an hour for reading mail and Open Diary and then on to homework and/or housework. But now I am FREE!

It isn’t as if I dislike taking classes. In fact, as long-time readers know, I choose to take them. I like learning and also I am a person who needs order imposed from without and having a class I have to go to twice a week adds structure to my days. But there is no doubt that it all becomes a drag after a while. Since I am going to be auditing next time I go to school, I am hoping  that will diminish the stress. Of course, I may be so stress-free that I blow off the whole class!  We shall see. I got email from the commumity college inviting me to sign up for a summer class, and, for the first time, students can also sign up for fall classes at the same time. I was tempted but since I will be getting over surgery this summer and still be in Italy when the fall classes start…    Hmmm, but since I will be auditing, it doesn’t matter when I join.  Well, something to think about.

My younger son and his girlfriend have just bought a house. Apparently, he has moved in already despite the fact that his furniture will not be moved intil this weekend! Since she works in education, I am assuming she will finish out the school year and then move. I know she has applied for at least one job in the new area. I think I am almost as excited about all this as they are! I told younger son in email this morning that I am thinking about a road-trip to his vicinity in the spring of next year then possibly continuing the trip to where older son lives…

Ok, on with the day. I have I list of things I will probably do, which starts with "throw away papers no longer needed for class…"

ryn: Yes, he *is* huge. Extremely huge in fact. I don’t really notice it until I see pictures like that, since I’m so used to looking at his physical presence. Pictures like that one remind me why people are so leary of approaching him! As for when your son’s girlfriend will move into the house… as soon as I find a job up there. If I don’t find one, I will continue here until I do. I’m hoping to find a job. 🙂

And I’ve applied for like 45 jobs in the new area. 🙂 The Praxis is holding me back right now. I just have to hope I passed it.

Happy Friday! I’m glad yours is starting out with such a sense of freedom and happiness.

Being free of obligations is such a good thing! :o) !! And you know…if you DID blow off an entire class, you would also be free to take it again some other time (or not!) Right now I’m thinking of blowing off my healthy eating regimine (just for this particular moment) and eating a box of macaroni-cheese for lunch….and THEN going walking! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

Oh, I think a temporary reprieve from school is a really GOOD thing. What starts out as a fun adventure can very quickly turn into an onerous drudge, which is what I think happened. Once you are able to shed the burden of the “work” part, I think you’ll be able to pick up the fun of the “learning something new” part. Sometimes it’s a hard balancing act.

its good to hear you back bright and breezy… and good to see you making plans already for next spring!! 🙂 Have a lovely day Patricia enjoying your freedom.

I love roadtrips.
