A Long Day
Class this morning wasn’t too bad. I survived! I also have a list of all the work I haven’t turned in and three out of the five are done. I just didn’t put them in the folder! I don’t know where my brain has been this week!
I had lunch with la prof’s friend and it was fun! She told me lots about the school but she was only there for a week! Her husband and the husband of her friend didn’t want to stay in Lucca for more than a week. She told me some of her adventures travelling around Italy and they were very interesting. If we don’t meet again before I go, we are definitely meeting when I get back.
The final thing I had to do was to go to meet my new doctor, Dr. K. His first name is Pierre and although his parents are Polish, he was born and brought up in Montreal and his first language is French. I liked him a lot. I told him about the hip replacement coming up in June and his supervising doctor suggested that I go for an MRI to be sure there is no cancer in the hip. He said he felt it was unlikely but it would not be a Good Thing to open up my hip and then find that in there. It makes me a bit nervous to think of it, but I am will to have it done. I also need to go in fasting to get a cholestoral test done. Oh, and I found out what happened to Dr. EyeCandy. He is now the chief resident!
Ok, I am off to play on my Mac Book. I have found out that I can download Bookworm so that will be the first thing I do.
QUOTATIONS FOR THIS MONTH: "There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so."

“Every life form seems to strive to its maximum except human beings. How tall will a tree grow? As tall as it possibly can. Human beings, on the other hand, have been given the dignity of choice. You can choose to be all or you can choose to be less. Why not stretch up to the full measure of the challenge and see what all you can do?” Jim Rohn (motivational speaker/philosopher)

Ci vedo dopo…. see you later…
*waves hand madly* I know! I know! You left your brain at the doctor’s office this week. Well, actually, you SENT it there ahead of you. *grins* Glad it’s back.

Ooooh, Bookworm! When exactly did you buy the Mac, Patricia? You kind of sprang it on us. LOL You usually tell us a bit about the process, thinking about getting something, the shopping experience, all that.

Does Dr. K. have an adorable but slight accent?

What kind of test do they perform to ensure that there is no cancer in your hip? I pray there is none! I know it is just a precaution and it’s a good idea.

Where do you keep finding these charming, young doctors? 😉

I’m glad your day went so well! La prof’s friend should have gone to the school on her own, not with a husband who wouldn’t want to stay for more than week….sheesh! But I bet it WAS interesting hearing about all her other adventures in Italy! hugs, Weesprite

glad Dr. K seems to be ok. I can imagine how stressful it must be even thinking about cancer in the hip, but it is probably a good idea. And probably not necessary at all.

Nevermind my last note. I just heard from him and he’s fine.
