A List

  • I went out this morning and cleaned snow off the cars. It was less than an inch and light and fluffy, thus the snow removal was very easy
  • Our next-door neighbor sent her two older children across yesterday to give us some home-made chocolate-chip cookies still warm from the oven.
  • The boy {I think he is about 8?} came across through the snow with bare feet! The girl was more sensible!
  • I have a new author to read. Thanks to the ability to download free samples  of a book, I have discovered and have been reading Denise Mina’s Garnet Hill trilogy which is set in Scotland. I have finished books 1 {Garnet Hill}and 2 {Exile} and #3 {Redemption, I think} is waiting patiently on the Kindle for me.
  • I have finished watching "The Barchester Chronicles." I am still working on "House M.D." , the second season. The next two seasons are in the mail, Amazon tells me.
  • Right now it is 18 degrees. The high today will be 21 degrees. A good day for staying in and reading.
  • There are all sorts of chores that really need to be done but I am going to read today.
  • Hope every one is staying warm!

I had to laugh at the picture of the little boy barefoot in the snow…hope he doesn’t get sick. My little boy would do the same. I’m constantly catching him going out barefoot in the cold. I wonder how often I didn’t catch him, because he keeps trying…

He came over in his barefeet? BEt his mother didn’t know that!!! LOL You’re having cold and we’re supposed to have warm and strong storms. What opposites! Enjoy your day of reading! Hugs,M

The sun is at least out today, and it’s very clear, but -cold!- today. I agree, it’s a day for tea and books and staying cozy. Slogging through The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher.

Barefeet? Ah well, that’s a joy of childhood. LOL

I have a friend who’d told me about walking barefoot in the snow. Now the littlest breeze makes her shiver. That list sounds about right for a Saturday.

I imagine the free downloads help with Kindle’s book sales.

Sounds like you are really enjoying your Kindle. I still am not sure I should get one. I am still debating whether to get the Kindle or the Sony.
