A Lazy Day
- Well, I just don’t know what to say about my car. I went to my voice mail and couldn’t find the message I had about the car being delivered on Saturday. I don’t think I imagined it. It is more likely I deleted it. Anyway, since I was told that it might take up to two weeks to get the car to me, and the two weeks will be up on February 1st, I decided to stop worrying until that date.
- I have not been feeling well today. I am not ill but just not well and a bit tired. I didn’t sleep well last night and was up at 4:30. So, at about 6 am, I went back to bed and slept until 8 and I have been taking it easy all day.
- I haven’t opened any boxes at all today but I have done something about finding places to put away some of the clutter in the kitchen. Back to opening boxes tomorrow!
Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.
Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) English Poet
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.
– Oscar Wilde
Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone. ~Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers}
I’m sure you needed a lazy day! The boxes will be there tomorrow!

You’d think they’d at least have some kind of internet app that tells you the progress of your car, like the way UPS does. Odd that you haven’t heard.

I hope you get your car soon. That’s terrible to not be able to jump into your car and go get things you need. You take it easy and don’t rush about those boxes. You have nothing else to do so take your time. I’m sure you are tired of boxes but you need to take a day off and rest every few days. Don’t get run down it will be easier to catch the flu. I’m staying in a lot so I don’t get exposed to it

Darn. Well at least since they told you it could take two weeks, you know you don’t have to worry about it….just get frustrated waiting for it! The only time we had a car shipped, it was from England to the USA and vice versa, but it took a good long time. I hope you get some rest and soon feel much better! hugs, Nicky

Moving is one of the most stressful events that can happen, right up there with death and divorce, so try to take it easy and remember that. Give yourself some extra time to relax and adjust. ((hugs))

Is there maybe a way that you can retrieve old, deleted voice mails? But I agree with the others, you have made a move & you have been making great progress. That is a lot of work and it takes a toll on a person. Just relax. Your things will still be there when you feel up to it! 🙂
