A Brief Update

<——- Look over to the left. Yes, the age number has gone up one!

After we bought and put up the deck umbrella yesterday, this morning it is raining! My first thought this morning  was to rush out there when the rain stopped to open the umbrella so it wouldn’t get moldy while it was drying. And that, of course, is left over from my thirty-plus years of living in the semi-tropical climate of Mississippi.

I have been inundated with lovely gifts since my birthday comes so close to Mother’s Day. And all I can say is that my two sons are fortunate to have significant others who pay attention to their  {the sons} mother’s birthday!  AND Fred is taking me out to dinner tonight.
What I am reading:

• The Black Echo by Michael Connelly This is a police procedural mystery.
• Fledgling by Olivia Butler. A very odd and interesting science fiction novel about vampire who are really aliens told from the point of view of one female alien.
