So Done With It All

I’m so tired.  So exhausted.  I can’t keep up with anything.  I didn’t do any cleaning today.  I sat on my big ass all day long.  While sitting on my ass, I hand sewed a breastfeeding cover.  My sewing machine doesn’t like me, so I wasn’t even pulling it out.

I just had no strength to clean.  I barely had enough to walk around the house.  And of course James was not too happy when he got home from work.  He was expecting the house a little cleaner then when he left for work this morning.  Instead, I left the boxes on the couch.  Pirates on the floor.  Notebooks scattered.  Dishes in the sink (and dishwasher).  Trash still in the trash can.  Dinner was not done, or even started when he got home.  And if it wasn’t for the fact that the dog is loud and I have to clean up her messes, I wouldn’t have even let her out today.  But that’s only if she were totally quiet the whole day.

James didn’t say anything about the mess directly.  But you could see it in his face.  He tried joking about it later, but I knew he wasn’t really joking.  He was just trying to make it sound that way.

I can’t pick stuff up from the floor.  To bend down that far cuts off blood supply to the top half of my body.  It makes me really dizzy and I can’t breathe at all.  I can’t sit on the floor to pick things up because then I get stuck.  Go ahead, laugh, I don’t care.  But when you can barely walk each day, sitting on the floor is not fun.  Being as hugely pregnant as I am makes getting up difficult.  The couch helps some, but it still takes me a good 5 minutes to get up.  And then my legs ache from the strain.

I want, no need, a hot shower.  But I can’t do that either.  Our hot water is all messed up.  You get a good 20 minutes worth and it’s ice cold.  And that’s only if no one has recently flushed the toilet in the main bath.  For whatever reason, that toilet fills with hot water instead of cold.  So every flush uses up our hot water.

I went to give Josie a bath earlier…yeah she’s still dirty.  I was able to fill the tub about 2 inches deep before the water ran cold.  And that was while waiting for the water to even get hot to begin with.  I put the plug in before even turning the water on.  There wasn’t enough water for me to scoop up with a cup and pour on her.  Of course she cried wanting more water.  So I let it fill up.  Yep, she took a cold water bath.  I didn’t scrub her at all.  Though she really needs it.  I’ve been lazy.  I haven’t given her a bath in 3 days.  Don’t judge me.  We never leave the house.  What’s the point of scrubbing every day??  She did play with a bar of soap in her cold bath.  So her legs did at least get washed.  And her butt soaked in the soapy water.  Better then nothing I guess.

I ran out of hot water around 8pm.  It’s now a little after 11pm and STILL NO HOT WATER!!  But guess what?  Guess who will get a nice shower?  James.  Yep.  In the morning.  Part of his getting ready for work.  He always takes a shower in the morning.  Guess by then there is plenty of hot water built back up.

I used to take showers in the morning or late afternoon.  Josie would get in with me.  She can’t fit anymore.  Hell, I barely even fit.  Which is why I need lots of hot water.  It takes me at least 15 minutes just to get everything wet enough to start soaping up.  Seriously there is about 2 inches between me and the shower walls I am so big now.  That’s all the way around.  We have a stupid small stall type shower.  The bath tub is by itself.  I have to take the shower head down just to get the bottom half of me wet.  It’s not a fun job.  It takes me about 25 minutes to completely shower if I move as fast as I can in there.

Ugh!!  I need a shower!!  It’s been 2 days!!  Our hot water is never built up enough for me!!

In other news, I bought a cradle over the weekend.  It’s so cute.  And only cost me $10.  It needs a little TLC though.  It needs a new base board and a new pad covering.  It’s a rocking cradle.  Not that I really need one, but it’s cute.  And I couldn’t pass up a great deal.  It’ll get used.

I love Josie’s hair in that picture 😀
See the mattress pad?  It’s foam covered in like..plastic…like trash bag plastic.  And the foam doesn’t look too pretty.

This is the playpen/bassinet combo I got for $50 brand new.  It’s $120 at the store.  Pay no attention to the books there hehe.  And yes, it is sitting between 2 computer desks LOL.  The desk with the green post it notes is where I sit.  All I gotta do is turn around and BAM there’s a baby LOL.
And a side view.  So you can see how it’s a bassinet for now.  When the twins are too big for that I just pull off the top and put the mat on the bottom.  (see the green "bars" on either side of that button in the center? those come off and are all around the top to make sure it stays in place)

So yeah, those are both in my living room lol.  We’re still putting a regular crib in our bedroom.

James has NO right to get mad at you! You can’t help it that you have no energy and that you’re so big. I’d kick him if he said anything about it and tell him to try being pregnant with twins AND still going through all the health issues you deal with. You’re my hero, darling. And so what about showering? Hell, when I’m not well, sometimes I don’t shower for over a week. You deserve a little slack
