journal notes (temp)

Friday’s date – *giggles* That was fun! I’ve chatted online, I’ve SIMmed on line, I’ve even hot-chatted (yes, its true – back in my days [“how many days was that?? *g*”]) but I’ve never had a plain and simple “date” online. It was nice being asked, and I enjoyed spending time with…*grins*

Camping last weekend – car camping *sigh* Bike trail kicked my butt. Also college crowd pulling in late. But I had another full-up test of camp gear. Everything okay – am getting the knack of camp-dishwashing. Note: I was reminded myself this weekend, that I intended to be fasting on some of these weekenders, as a spiritual growth. Must remember not to bring food!!

This saturday in college town 30 minutes away – I kicked its butt!! Good eating too. Single guy who mirrored me at restaurant. Rode the river front trails. Made better time, wiped out backwards (go figure) and throughly enjoyed it. Should try to go earlier next time, though. Then rode into town, went shopping (see below entry) and then relaxed at a local eatery (Tyler, if not Steves, what was the name for La Paddilla?) Okay, tell the steve gag. Somme guy at restuarant – by himself, also – sat down at table opposite me, got the same exact order as me, and was altogether too cool for his shirt. *laughs* did cleaning at home that evening, and watched startrek tapes.

Seeing my God-daughter and her mom… Handled that wrong, in afterthought. Intuit that she is, we saw and recognized each other faster than normal visual accuity could account for. But, i saw her first, then her mom. If she were by herself, I would have scooped her up in a hug, but her mom probably would get a restraining order. Long story… anyway, so I walked on by. Afterthought, that was unfair to daughter. I should have stopped, turned, and winked at her, or just something subtle to acknowledge her, and let her know I am not ashamed or mad or anything of the sort of her. i should also have done it to show she is more important to me than her mom’s attitude, let her know I (still) love her. But i blew it. I hope somehow she still gets that message, somehow she understands. (my ego defenses are stronger than hers, her intuition couldnt have perceived anything beyond our moments of recognition. Damn my being so efficient. I will do better if the chance happens again)

My second trip to college town – the Mike story. Again, I have a halo people can see, I swear. (oops, i’m not supposed to swear…*wink*) Guy at gas station picks me of all the other customers to bum a ride from. Of course I said yes. He asked for ride to bus station, I gave him ride to college town. Said he had been in a car wreck (hit a deer, he was pretty banged up) while vactioning with girlfriend in desert southwest (hot-springs tour – they do it for a week every year or so). She stayed behind at her mom’s in Cali, while he hitched his way back to here, so he could go to work on Monday at bakery in College town. Too many subtle details to be total BS. he was nice enough; I will check in on him when I go to buy my day pack.

My birthday, next week – will do the “annual ride” in major Metro area an hour away on Saturday… the second time I’ve done it alone. *sigh* Also buying myself a day/hydration pack as my gift to self. The gift will mean another trip to college town. Am taking a pork roast (I think) to work on friday, and a jello cake, if I can get a big enough pan. Receptionist and I are planning a picnic at the local lake as our “office birthday outing”.

Note to self: that I like to organize and clean in the cooler early/late summer months. I also need to do the mechanical on the car..and something else…argh. Oh! Clean and oil the guns! Also, plan canoe trip with sister. Buy drybags next week too. ALSO, GET MICROCASSETTE from church!!

*grins*…sounds like you had a real great time on Friday night..:) hope you’ll have other chances like that again soon….its great to see ya smiling! Birthday next week, eh?…..hmm……*makes a note of that* Hugs…XOX

Sounds like your having fun at least. What does mirrored you mean? I’m kind of slow on the uptake sometimes. It’s too bad you couldn’t have stopped and enjoyed your goddaughter. I hate when I have situations like that happen. For me they happen cause I’m gutless. I’m working on that. I am pleased you get to ride your bike so much. I love my bike but it’s in Montana. Plus, i’m overweight, that

doesn’t help. Well, glad to see you so happy. God Bless Ya Doll. 🙂

hey! MY birthday is next week too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (in 10 days to be exact…) =) Happy Birthday to us!

sounds like your having some nice experiences (not always happy ones) but nice none the less. fasting is nice.. a friend of mine used to do some sort of colin cleansing thing that lasted for a week or so.. he said it was great.. I dunno.. I like eating.. speaking of which I should go microwave some buritoes (I’m a very strict diet of nothing that takes more then 5 minutes to prepare) ~Romeo~

Chipotle is pronounced STEEV’s. Mainly because nobody I knew other than my roommate and I could pronounce it right. So I told them all to just call it Chipotle (pronounced STEEV’s)
