Did we all really think the “suck my balls” line was poetic?

The hardest promise to keep, of course, is that of forever. At one moment, you can believe you are capable of forever, but in the next you can be unable to promise anything for more than a few seconds.

“I’ll love you forever” just means “I’ll love you until I don’t love you anymore.”

“I’ll never leave you” is merely a nice way to say “I won’t leave you. Until I leave you.”

“‘Til death do us part” should be revised to include the myriad other reasons and excuses.

We are fickle because at any given moment, we are changing. Each new experience shapes the person we will become, the person we are becoming. The absolute youngest age at which we should be allowed to promise “forever” and pretend to mean it should be eighty. Even then, the most we should promise is “until the day I die.”

Sleep tight, darling. I’ll love you as long as I can.

While I believe you are right about it..I’d still like to keep hoping for “forever love” even if its just a myth.

I won’t call it forever…but I’m in a love I hope I don’t fall out of, can’t see myself falling out of any time soon. I think the only forever kind of love there might be is one where the people help each other change and change in positive and compatible ways…I guess that’s why it doesn’t really even happen that often. *hug*
