maybe this year will be better than the last
Look! Im updating!
I think I like even-numbered New Years better than odd-numbered New Years.
Funny, when youve spent the last two even years celebrating without me.
New Year Resolutions: 2006
I break resolutions like nobodys business. But I have good intentions, so at least thats saying something. Note resolution number 5!
1. Theres the old standby: nailbiting. I have been pledging to stop biting my nails since I was 11. My goal is by next year to now feel compelled to gnaw off my fingernails at the slightest amount of stress. Hi, my name is Sarah and Im a compulsive self-eater.
2. I cant believe that Im writing this at the same time as Im devouring a quesadilla full of eggs&bacon (with hash browns on the side!), but I want to eat more healthy foods this year. Im not going on a diet because I hate them & break them like New Years resolutions. But, you know, maybe Ill try eating vegetables once a week or something. French fries are a vegetable, right?
3. Kind of going along with #2- exercise. Again, its not because I want to be on a diet or anything but because I like it and its supposed to decrease stress. This could conceivably help with #1 as well.
4. Get rid of my credit card debt. Oh, relocation money, come make me rich again! No, seriously. Boeing owes me $1100, and this is all on my credit card.
5. Write more. Internet and ink. Look! I really do care! Essentially, Im embarrassed that I have more than a year on my contents page. I insist on at least being into 2005 by March.
6. Read more. Ive been rereading all of my books, which Ive already read&reread 7645675 times before. I will join the library and complete that 50-books-per-year thing they have going on at Livejournal. So book recs? Anyone?
7. Take a class on something not technical. Or, take a class on something technical. Basically, learn something new because I miss college (although it could conceivably because I only studied when I was several sheets to the wind & I associate studying with boozing).
Thats all. Im boring. But look! Im updating!
Though it may be the lowest priority on your list, they actauly sell a nail polish to help you stop biting your nails… its oderless and colorless, but tastes like week-old roadkill. From what i’ve heard, it’s prety effective 🙂 Good luck with the other 5, i think they sell things to help with those too 😛

I too am a self eater. This is probably one of the reasons I get my nails done… although they are much prettier and i feel sexier when I have them all acrylic’d up but yea..I chew my nails. I too would like to read more….. I always say I will, and I never do. xoxoxo Happy New Year, 2006 mmm 🙂 xoxoox Jezsyka
