i left my wallet in el segundo

.

So.

I’ve started working at Boeing. The only work I’ve accomplished so far has been new hire training and setting up passwords and such. It’s boring, but they tell me that when the work comes, I’ll wish I had free time. Until I get my clearance, though, I’ll be bored whether I have work or not. So yay!

I’ve found an apartment. It’s one block from the beach (technically, it’s a little farther but saying "one block" sounds much cooler than "one block and a walk through a park then down a flight of steps"), and I absolutely adore it. It’s tiny but cheap (which never happens), and I even have a spot in a garage.

My parents have been calling me almost every day, for one reason or another. Before I let, they continuously gave me pep talks and told me that I would be lonely, but that it’s okay to feel that way. I’m thinking that’s why they’ve been calling so much, but I haven’t really had a problem with loneliness. I’ve always been a little bit of a loner, so spending time by myself is never really a bad thing. Not to mention that I spent most of the summer by myself; I’d be a lot more inclined to feel lonely when my friends are nearby & not hanging out with me. It’s hard to feel bad about being alone if all of your friends are on the other coast.

(And don’t tell my parents but the thing I miss most about home is my dog.)

Due to boredom, it is highly likely that I will be writing more in the immediate future. But I say that all the time, so we’ll see.

That’s what I miss the most about my home, too. My pretty little Chihuahua. I want a dog so badly now. So I can have my own family. Wow, I am so lame. Much love darling. The beach sounds like a wonderful place to be right now

It’s an amazing thing to move out on your own. I enjoy living alone rather than having a roomie, that’s for sure. cheap, near the beach-a block plus down the road and down some steps-heck girl.. that’s a hop skip and a jump –pretty close and dandy if you ask me! xoxox update more. i miss you. jezsyka

your apartment sounds lovely. i’d miss my dog too, if i had one that i’m not just an incidental owner of. it seems weird to know a person whose job requires security clearance. *shrug* i’m glad you wrote…i missed you.
