NoJoMo 7

The last thing I feel like doing right now is writing an entry, but alas.. I’ve set myself a challenge.

I have to be up for work at 4am. That’s in, um, 5 hours. urgh.
Should be sleeping instead of doing this.

Ben and I spent an hour in bed this morning after we woke up.
Chatting, messing about. Even Elroy came for cuddles.
It was nice.

We walked into town at about 12. Had some food and went to the bank.
Did a bit of shopping and then came home.
The whole day was lovely, except when Ben’s mood changed in town for no apparent reason (to me anyway).
We walked back to the flat in complete silence. We didn’t even walk next to eachother, I was sort of trailing behind the whole 20 minutes.
Got in and watched some tv.. still not talking to eachother.
I made some vegetable curry for supper and we ate that.. still not talking to eachother,.

Then I went to derby practise, had a fantastic time, forgot all about it, got home to find Ben still grumpy.
This immediately made me grumpy.
I did the dishes in a grump.
Had a shower in a grump.
And now I’m writing this in bed, in a grump.

We never fight. But we’re not even having a fight.
I’m not really sure what’s happening. It’s so stupid.

Back to derby though.
BB Bombshell is a fucking machine.
She used me to demo a block and without even trying managed to ping me across the whole hall.
We learnt to do hockey stops today, not to say many of us were successful though.
There was a lot of falling over.
And I have a massive bruise on the palm of my left hand.
 

As for todays questions:

If I could live anywhere in the world?
That’s easy. I’d go home to South Africa. I miss it every day.

What are the last 3 things I learned?
That’s tricky. Doesn’t one learn things all the time?

– I learnt how to do a hockey stop today! I’ve got to keep practising though.
– I’ve learnt that our virgin v+ box doesn’t record stuff you’ve set it to record if the box is switched off at the plug (that was a bit of a duh moment for me)
– I learned the hard way a few days ago that if a chocolate cake requires eggs, it won’t be "fine" just because you don’t have any. It will indeed turn into a gross hard lump of inedible something instead.
